Game #1: Casey Mize goes 7 Innings allowing 3 Earned Runs and lowers his ERA to 2.94. Chicago’s pen picks him up and his battery mate Christan Bentancourt walks it off in the bottom of the 9th to win it for Chicago.

Game #2: Luis Arraez & Yordan Alvarez both have 3 Hits and 2 RBIs. Alvarez & Keibert Ruiz had Home Runs. Jesus Luzardo goes 7 Shutout Innings for Chicago for the Win.

Game #3: Kyle Tucker had 4 Hits for the Lynx & Max Muncy had 2 RBIs, but it wasn’t enough as the Mobsters squeak out a Win with 1 extra run. Noah Syndergaard pitches solid & helps lengthens the Mobsters relievers for another day of work down the line by going 7.2 Innings.

Game #4: Tony Gonsolin went 7 Shutout Innings only allowing a Double to Max Muncy. Chicago’s pen with 3 Relievers finishes it off for the Mobsters. Starling Marte & Sam Haggerty both have 3 Hits, a Home Run & 2 RBIs for Chicago.

Game #5: Willy Adames has a Home run & 4 RBIs to go along with his 2 Hits. But Christian Bethancourt is once again the man with 2 Hits, a Home run & 3 RBI’s at the right time for Chicago. Julio Urias improves to 16-3 and his ERA now sits at 1.53.

Game #6: Case Mize once again goes 7 Innings allowing only 3 Earned Runs before he hands it off tied at 3 each. This was the closest Game of the Series & went 10 Innings before Rookie Julio takes the 1st pitch he sees in the bottom of the 10th for a long Home Run over the Left Field wall to walk it off for the Chicago sweep!

Summary: Chicago takes the series 6 games to 0, but 3 of the games were 1-Run Wins, so it could just have easily been a split.

Game #1: Portland scores 4 runs in the 4th inning to break it open and cruise to the 10-4 win. Kirilloff goes down to an injury the Falcons.

Game #3: Myers hit a GS in the 2nd inning and Cabrera took it from there. CCC wins 7-1.
Game #4: Musgrove throws 7 innings of 1-hit ball as CCC cruises 6-2.
Game #5: Greene and Crawford combine for a shutout in a CCC 8-0 win.
Game #6: CCC offense breaks out for 17 hits in a 9-4 win.
Summary: MCM opens with a big win but CCC easily takes the next five.

Sacramento  Capitals @ Corktown  Cycle

Preview: 1st in the west comes to Corktown for 6.
Game #1: Corktown takes a 7-0 lead into the 9th where the Capitals make a late bid of 5 runs to give the home crowd a scare.

Game #2: Sacramento goes another 8 innings of scoreless ball before putting up 2 in the 9th on the loosing side.

Game #3: Both starters were great. This one goes 11 before the home team walks it off. The crowd is starting to feel the momentum of this team against the best of the west.

Game #5: Another game going to extras, but its Sacramento that gets the W with a 5 run 12th.

Game #6: Corktown wins game 6 and complete their best series of the season.

Summary: The home team takes 5 of 6. After years of the Capitals beating up on the Cycle. Sacramento’s gap for 1st place could have closed this week. As we near the deadline it will be interesting to see what their usually active owner has up his sleeve.

Preview: Tempe came into the series with the best record anywhere to be found and that didnt change.

Summary: Another great series for TEM, now almost 25ish games ahead of the next division leaders.

Triple Creek  Patriots @ Valdosta  Snappers

Preview: Bombers v Patriots for 6 games.
Game #1: 2-1 Triple Creek after 8 full. Snappers score 1 in the top half of the 9th to tie it up but De Jong couldn’t lock down the 9th as Patriots sneak one across as well. Andrus 2-3 w/ RBI. Massey 4-4 and L. Gurriel 3-4.

Game #2: Andrus came in hot and was ejected in the the 1st inning. Patriots score 3 in the 4th to take a 3-1 lead. Valdosta bats struck hard in the 9th for 4 runs and Triple Creek could not respond this time. Y. Gurriel 3-4 w/ RBI and replacement Waters a huge 2-2 with 3 RBI paced the visitors.

Game #3: Patriots hang a 5-spot in the 3rd off Sanchez – chasing him from the game the next inning. Hutchinson and De Jong hold the fort but couldn’t make up the gap. Odor 3 -run shot. Several Triple Creek bats chip in.

Game #4: 5-3 heading into the bottom of the 9th and Triple Creek ties it up against a tough Minter. He just didn’t have his stuff today. The thrill was short lived as Valdosta score 2 in the 10th to claim victory. Odor 4-5, Y. Gurriel 3-5 w/ 3 RBI. Teams combine for 30 hits!

Game #5: Back and forth all game with Valdosta sneaking out the nail-biter.

Game #6: Stop me if you’ve heard this before: down 4-2 heading into the 9th, Triple Creek scores 2 to tie it. They add 3 more in the 10th to even the series 3-3. Snappers out-hit Patriots 10-9 but have nothing to show for it.

Columbus  Explorers @ Baltimore  Comets

Preview: Columbus visits Baltimore.
Game #1: Explorer starter David Peterson gets tossed after hitting 3 batters in 1 1/3 innings. Baltimore would get a pair of 5th inning runs off Peterson’s replacement, Clarke Schmidt and Miles Mikolas would ensure it would be enough, limiting Columbus to a run on 4 hits over 7 innings.

Summary: The Fighting Chihuahuas came out blazin’. They took the first 3, then the home squad struck back and snatched the final 3.

Good ol’ split.

In game 2 C.J. Abrams and Brendan Rodgers collided. both out 11 days.
In game 6, I beaned Contreras. out 5 days.

Cincinnati  Skyliners @ Mesa  Solar Sox

Preview: Two 2nd place teams match up.
Summary: After dropping the 1st 2 games, Mesa comes back to win the last 4, out homering the Skyliners 11-8 in the series.
