| SERIES PREVIEW – The Hollywood Werewolves (109-53, 1st in AL West) and Baltimore Comets (99-63, 1st in NL East) will finish off another great season. Hollywood is making its fifth World Series appearance (2004, 2012, 2014, 2020), while this will be Baltimore’s first trip to the Fall Classic. Baltimore got here by beating Selkirk 4-2 in the NLDS and knocking off the favored Tempe Tempers in the NLCS 4 games to 1. Hollywood had to mount a big comeback in the ALDS, winning 4-3 after being down 3 games to 1 to Fremont. Showing no adverse effects, they took care of Chicago 4-1 in the ALCS. Hollywood boasts the best player in the series in Aaron Judge, who led the AL in HR, RBI, and runs, and was second in walks, and SLG. Drew Rasmussen paced the AL in ERA at 1.59. Matt Olson leads a powerful Baltimore squad. He led his league in Doubles and launched 50 HR’s. Baltimore also had the NL Saves leader in Evan Phillips. |

| SERIES PREVIEW – In a highly anticipated showdown, the #1 Seed Chicago Mobsters are set to face off against the #2 Seed Hollywood Werewolves in the American League Championship of the Mid-West Baseball League. Both teams have had outstanding regular seasons, boasting impressive records of 109-53 each. The stakes are high, with the winner earning the right to represent the American League in the World Series.The Chicago Mobsters, led by the dynamic outfielder Yordan Alvarez, have been a force to be reckoned with all season. Alvarez’s powerful bat and clutch performances have been instrumental in the Mobsters’ success. On the pitching side, Chicago boasts a formidable trio of Tony Gonsolin, Alek Manoah, and Julio Urias, who have consistently delivered strong outings throughout the year.
However, Chicago will face a significant challenge in this series as they’ll be without their rookie sensation, Julio Rodriguez, until Game #5. East Champion Baltimore Comets (99-63) for the right to represent the National League in the MWBL 2023 World Series. Tempe won the season series between the 2 clubs 8 games to 4. Tempe comes into the series after disposing of the Sacramento Capitals in 6 games. Baltimore knocked off the Selkirk Steelers 4-2. |

These Un-Carded Free Agents are eligible to be drafted in the 2024 MWBL Draft held on February 17th, 2024 at 10:30 AM ET.
All of these Free Agents have been taken off their team’s Mid-West Baseball League’s Web Roster & will not be attached to your Franchise on the 2024 MWBL PREVIEW DISK – which should be released by Monday, October 9th, 2023.
If you feel the Commissioner’s Office has made an error on any of these Free Agents, you have until Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at 8:00 AM TT to put in a Request for review of a Free Agent
2024 DRAFT LOTTERY
The 2024 MWBL Draft Lottery is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at 9:00 PM Eastern Time.
This event holds significant importance as it will determine the order of selection for the upcoming 2024 MWBL Draft, set to be held on Saturday, February 17th, 2024.
Ten esteemed Franchises, as enumerated below, will be vying for the coveted #1 Pick in the 2024 MWBL Draft:
For those eager to witness this pivotal event in real-time, the Commissioner’s Office will provide a live-streaming link via Zoom, which will become active at 8:45 PM on the evening of Wednesday, November 1, 2023.
To maintain transparency and fairness in the selection process, a Google Random Number (1-100) Generator, with numbers ranging from 1 to 100, will be employed to determine the order of selection.
