| Game #3: | Another big one for the Walleye fans after the Explorers erupted early to get a nice lead (or so we thought). Up 5-1 after 2, the Explorers see better pitching after the 2nd which holds them scoreless through 9. And of course the Walleye begin chipping away and fain 6 runs in the 5th (1), 6th (2) and 7th (3). With 1 in the 3rd that added up to a 9-5 beating on the home team. | Game #4: | After a day off the Explorers score one in the bottom of the 3rd but the Walleye got 1 in the opener and 1 in the 3rd and even though Jordan Lyles tossed a 6 hit CG those 2 runs were enough as Steele and company held Columbus to 6 hits and 1 run. | Game #5: | OH-OH, another close one. After a Walleye run in the 1st (what’s new, huh?) and a run in the 5th, Columbus comes back with 1 in the 5th and 6th and we are tied up. It will stay that way until a Columbus error in the 10th allows a runner to score and that Feyereissen does his thing to close it out. | Game #2: | Mesa takes it to the Lynx in this game. They opened the scoring with 2 runs in T2 on a T.Anderson 2-rbi 2b and never looked back.
Mesa ended up with 8 runs on 14 hits as the bottom of their order went nuts: Grichuk 2-5 w/2 runs and a 2b; Trevino 2-5 w/2 runs and a rbi; Pinder 1-5 w/2 rbi and a 2b; and Aguilar 2-5 w/ 2 runs. But the star was T.Anderson who went 5-5 w/ 3-rbi and a 2b. MSS C.Javier is no slouch as he goes 7IP giving up only 2 hits and 1 run while fanning 4. Mesa 8, Southbend 1 |
| Game #3: | SBL get a strong pitching performance from a starter as J.Junk tosses the CG 3 hit Shutout as he walks only 1 and fans 8.
MSS P.Lopez is almost as good but gives up a 2-run HR to SBL M.Perez in the B7 for the only runs of the game. SBL loses M.Perez (1 day) and Canha (11 days) as they collide in foul grounds on a pop up in the T8. Southbend 2, Mesa 0 |

MSS Lynch goes 7IP giving up only 2 hits while fanning 8 and walking only 1. MSS gets a 2-run HR from Pinder in the T2 for all the runs they would need, but add another in the T4 on a Aguilar rbi-2b. Mesa 3, Southbend 0 |

MSS got out to a 6-0 lead after 2 1/2 on the strength of Ward and Suwinski 2-run HRs. But MSS put the gane away with 3 runs in the T8 with a Ward solo-HR (his 2nd HR of the game) and a Mesa 9, Southbend 7 |
| Game #6: | MSS would go to the bullpen to win this game as Heaney only goes 5IP giving up 2 runs on 3 hits.
MSS would then use Raley, Lee, Pressly, and Bednar for 1 inning each to get the win. MSS ties the game 2-2 in the T5 with a WOng 2-run HR and then take the lead on a Suarez rbi-1b. SBL J.Cave ties it in the B7 with a solo-HR. But MSS PH O.Gonzalez rips a 2-run 2b to regain the lead in Mesa 5, Southbend 3 |

But that was pretty much the only mistake MSS C.Javier makes as he goes 6IP giving up only 2 hits while fanning 9. MSS T.Ward, having a heck of a series hits a 2-run HR in the T3 to take the lead for MSS and that was all MSS Y.Gomes would hit a solo-HR in the T6 and T8 to close out the scoring.
