Cincinnati Skyliners @ Prairie Falcons
Preview:	This week’s a short and sweet 5-game series… both teams in the playoff hunt – not at the top but in the middle of the pack…
Game #1:	Benintendi led the Falcons with 3 hits, 2 doubles, and a homer. Yamamoto wasn’t stellar but good enough to go 7 innings and notch his 7th win. Martin took the loss, and ex-Falcon Chandler Simpson provided the visitors with 3 hits, PRA 8 – CIN 4
Game #2:	Another ex-Falcon, Michael Conforto, wreaked havoc on his ex-team – 2 dingers, 6 ribbies, which was WAY more than Brady Singer needed as he scattered 2 hits over 7 shutout innings. Ferris Buehler took the loss, CIN 9 – PRA 0
Game #3:	Chandler Simpson with another 3 hits to lead Queen City, but Baty and Merrill doubled that effort up…still resulting in a 2-2 tie till the 8th when Luis Garcia ripped the game-winning RBI double off of Buker PRA 3 – CIN 2
Game #4:	Falcons blistered the Japanese egg roll Kikuchi for 7 runs and gave Cincy no chance to catch up. Baez went yard to lead the Falcons, Hernandez and Caissie had late homers, but it was too little too late. PRA 9 – CIN 4
Game #5:	Lauer was brilliant over 7 innings of 1-run ball, while the Cincinnati offense had 5 players with 2 hits each…CIN 4 – PRA 1
Summary:	3-2 Series win for the Falcons and they are still floating 1 game above .500 which still puts them in the 6th spot I think in the wild card race…Skyliners still in the mix at .535, but could lose some ground depending on SDFC results…Cinci returns home to face TSS while Prairie hits the road heading out to Long Beach – Surfs up, Dude! Party On!

Summary:	A split for the squads, both continue to flounder under .500.

Yucaipa Road Runners @ Tempe Tempers
Preview:	The improved Yucaipa Road Runners come to Tempe for six games as the hometown fans excitedly welcome the Big Dumper.
Game #1:	Cal Raleigh greeted his new fans with a two-run homer in the 3rd, but then gave it back when he allowed a passed ball with bases loaded that scored two runs. Ozuna broke the 2-2 tie with a solo shot in the 4th. Tempers then unloaded on Sugan in the 5th with five runs capped by an Albies three-run homer. Peralta went an easy five innings for the win. Tempe 8-2
Game #2:	Tempe took an early 1-0 lead on an error. Pederson and Westbrook took DeGrom deep with solo homers in the 3rd for a brief Yucaipa lead. Three straight hits and then an Abreu homer made it 5-2 Tempe in the 3rd and knocked out Burk. Mountcastle and Crawford each added homers in the later innings. Burke dropped to a tough 0-9 while DeGrom picked up his 15th win. Tempe 7-2
Game #3:	Tempe employed a bullpen game with lots of available arms in the pen. Yucaipa got three runs off a rusty Santana in the 3rd with a solo homer from Taylor and then a two rbi double from Dean. Freeman put the Tempers on the board with a two-run homer in the 3rd. In the 4th, Tempe loaded the bases with two outs, and Kwan delivered a two rbi single to take a 4-3 lead. The defense failed Bassitt in the 6th, and Tempe hit around, scoring four more runs. Tempe 8-4
Game #4:	Raliegh and Springer went deep to start the first, and it got worse for Smith-Shawver as he only recorded two outs before he left the game. Tempe sent 11 hitters to the plate, scoring five runs, but they left the bases loaded. Surprisingly, it looked like there still might be a game after Tempe left the bases loaded again in the 2nd, but didn’t score, and Tatis followed it up with a three-run Road Runner homer in the 3rd. 5-3 Tempe. However, Raleigh popped a three-run homer in the 5th to make sure Verlander finally picked up the win after weeks of no-decisions. Win #298 for Verlander Tempe 9-5
Game #5:	Woo and Peralta were both at the top of their game, putting up zeros. The first and only run of the game came in the bottom of the 7th with two outs when back-to-back doubles from Freeman and Mountcastle resulted in a run. Jansen and Munoz closed out the 8th and 9th. Tempe 1-0.
Game #6:	Montgomery’s sac fly gave the Road runners a brief lead in the top of the 3rd until Raleigh hit another homer to give Tempe a 2-1 lead. Raleigh showed off his arm in the 7th and gunned down Taylor at 2nd to remove the potential tying run from the bases. Jansen pitched a quiet 7th and 8th, and Munoz closed out the 9th. Tempe 2-1
Summary:	Cal Raleigh made the front office look great, putting up player-of-the-week numbers and powering the Tempers to their first sweep of the year. He hit .348 AVG .429 OBP .870 SLG 4 HR 6 R 10 RBI in 28 PA. Degrom racked up two wins in the series for a shot at his third pitcher of the week award. Yucaipa’s pitching was great the last two games, and they would have salvaged two wins if the offense had managed anything. Tempe’s horrible performance in 1 run games in the first half of the season looks to have ended as they’ve now won five in a row and moved to a “1 run” 13-14 overall record.

Motor City Muscle @ Baltimore Comets
Preview:	Baltimore prepares to host its first-ever Interleague series as the Motor City Muscle visit. Motor City enters the series at 30-52, last place in the A.L. East. Baltimore sports a 28-55 record, good for last place in the N.L. East.
Game #1:	Cade Horton entered the game with a sub-2.00 ERA but lasted only 1 2/3 innings as the Muscle lit him up for 5 runs on 3 hits and 3 walks. The Comets outhit Motor City 12-10, but a late-game rally falls short, and the Muscle take the opener, 9-7. Spencer Torkelson (15) and J.C. Escarra (2) go deep for Motor City. Moises Ballesteros (2), Trevor Larnach (4), and Tim Tawa (7) homered for Baltimore. MUSCLE 9 / 10 / 1 COMETS 7 / 12 / 0 WP – Holmes (8-5) LP – Horton (4-3) S – Bazardo (18)
Game #2:	Baltimore jumps out to a 3-0 third-inning lead, but a 4-run 7th propels Motor City to a 5-3 victory. Joe Adell hit a 3-run shot (11) to lead the Muscle comeback. Connor Norby had a 3-hit day, including a home run, for the Comets. MUSCLE 5 / 7 / 0 COMETS 3 / 9 / 0 WP – Doval (2-1) LP – Akin (1-4) S – Bazardo (19)
Game #3:	Josh Bell‘s 3-run home run (9) and Brooks Baldwin‘s solo shot (4) cap a 4-run 4th, and Baltimore gets in the win column with a 4-2 decision. Joe Adell (12) and Ceddanne Rafaela (9) both homered for the second day in a row for Motor City. MUSCLE 2 / 7 / 0 COMETS 4 / 6 / 0 WP – Cannon (5-6) LP – Montero (1-4) S – Suarez (9)
Game #4:	The Comets evened the series at 2 games apiece with a 7-3 win. Josh Bell hit his second homer (10) in as many days, and Jasson Dominguez hit his 3rd roundtripper of the season for Baltimore. MUSCLE 3 / 6 / 0 COMETS 7 / 10 / 0 WP – Soriano (2-10) LP – Mize (7-7) S -Suarez (10)
Game #5:	Joe Adell (13) and Ceddanne Rafaela (10) each homer in the same game for the third time in the series, and they are joined by Lawrence Butler (11) in this one, as Motor City cruises to an 8-2 win in the finale. Tim Tawa (8) homered for the Comets. MUSCLE 8 / 11 / 0 COMETS 2 / 7 / 0 WP – Festa (1-3) LP – Tidwell (1-6)

Fremont Cannons @ Coconut Creek Crushers
Preview:	First Place Clash Playoff Preview.
Game #1:	FRE jumped out early on an Ohtani 3-run HR. Fortunately for us, Alcantara was on the mound for FRE. CCC chipped back and took the lead behind four HRs as CCC won 7-4.
Game #2:	Ohtani led off the game with another HR. Boyd and Bachman didn’t allow anything else as CCC pulled ahead and cruised to a 6-1 win.
Game #3:	Ohtani hits two more HRs in a losing cause. CCC took a big lead early and cruised to a 6-3 win.
Game #4:	Perdomo hit a 2-run HR in the 8th for the only offense in the game. Greene and the bullpen shut out FRE in a CCC 2-0 win.
Game #5:	An error, a steal, and a sac fly gave CCC a 1-0 lead in the 3rd. That was all the scoring in the game. Skubal threw a 1-hitter for 7 innings and lost on that unearned run. CCC wins 1-0.
Game #6:	CCC jumped on Alcantara early while Webb and Bachman combined for a CCC 7-0 win.
Summary:	FRE scored only 8 runs in the series while getting shut out in the final 3 games. CCC pulls off an unexpected 6-0 sweep.
