The Mobsters seem to have a good mix of veteran players, and players that have a lot of potential. That can provide a nice balance in the team. The Detroit Crime roster, it’s clear they’ve assembled a squad with a focus on powerful offensive capabilities. Pitching depth won’t be a question mark for many teams at the start of the season. This seven-game marathon will be a true test of endurance and strategy. |

Final Score: Chicago 5 – Detroit 4 Win: Logan Gilbert 1-0 (0.00) |
| Game #4: | The Chicago Mobsters triumphed over the Detroit Crime with a final score of 7-4. The game began with the Mobsters taking an early lead in the first inning, scoring two runs. They extended their lead to 4-0 by the fourth inning, thanks to timely hits and aggressive base running.
Detroit’s Manny Machado put the Crime on the board with a solo home run in the fourth inning, making it 4-1. The Crime rallied in the seventh inning, narrowing the gap to 4-2 with a double from Bryce Harper. In the eighth inning, Kyle Schwarber hit a two-run homer to tie the game at 4-4, bringing excitement to the home crowd. However, the Mobsters responded in the ninth inning with back-to-back home runs from Andrew McCutchen and Gabriel Moreno, regaining the lead at 6-4. Yordan Alvarez added an insurance run with a double, bringing the final score to 7-4. Hunter Gaddis secured the win for the Mobsters, while Bryan Hudson took the loss for the Crime. Jhoan Duran earned his first save of the season, closing out the game with a solid performance. Final Score: Chicago 7 – Detroit 4 Win: Hunter Gaddis 1-0 (5.40) |
| Game #5: | The Chicago Mobsters secured an 8-1 victory over the Detroit Crime. The game began with both teams struggling to score, but the Mobsters broke through in the third inning with a grand slam by Yordan Alvarez, putting them ahead 4-0. Alvarez’s powerful hit set the tone for the game, and the Mobsters continued to capitalize on their momentum.
In the fifth inning, Yandy Diaz extended the lead with a two-run homer, making it 6-0. Despite a brief response from the Crime in the bottom of the fifth, scoring their only run, the Mobsters maintained control. Alvarez struck again in the seventh with another home run, bringing the score to 8-1. Bowden Francis pitched effectively for the Mobsters, allowing only one run over seven innings, while Aaron Nola struggled for the Crime, giving up six runs in six innings. The Mobsters’ bullpen held strong, preventing any further scoring from the Crime. Final Score: Chicago 8 – Detroit 1 Win: Bowden Francis 1-0 (1.29) |
| Game #6: | The Chicago Mobsters triumphed over the Detroit Crime with a final score of 5-3. The game started with a slow pace as both teams struggled to score in the early innings. Detroit took an early lead, scoring one run in the first inning and adding two more by the third, thanks to a home run by Kyle Schwarber.
Chicago’s offense came alive in the fifth inning. After a series of strategic plays and hits, including a crucial triple by J. Chourio, the Mobsters managed to score five runs, turning the game in their favor. Despite Detroit’s efforts to close the gap, Chicago’s pitching staff, led by River Ryan and supported by relievers like Ryan Yarbrough and Hunter Gaddis, held firm. River Ryan secured the win with a solid performance, while Zack Wheeler took the loss for Detroit. Hunter Gaddis earned his first save of the season by closing out the game in the ninth inning, despite a late single by Donovan Solano. The Mobsters’ strategic plays and strong pitching ultimately sealed their victory. Final Score: Chicago 5 – Detroit 3 Win: River Ryan 2-0 (2.70) |
| Game #7: | Detroit emerged victorious over Chicago with a final score of 3-1. Paul Skenes was the star of the game, delivering a dominant performance on the mound. Despite the Mobsters’ offense going quiet in game #7, Detroit’s Skenes’ stellar pitching led them to a well-deserved victory. Final Score: Detroit 3 – Chicago 1 Win: Paul Skenes 1-0 (0.64) |
| Summary: | The Chicago Mobsters emerged victorious over the Detroit Crime, showcasing a blend of strategic prowess and raw talent. The series kicked off with a commanding 11-1 win for the Mobsters, highlighted by J. Chourio’s two home runs and River Ryan’s stellar pitching. Chicago’s momentum continued as they edged out Detroit 3-2 in a nail-biting second game, thanks to Yordan Alvarez’s decisive ninth-inning homer.
The Mobsters maintained their winning streak with a 5-4 victory in game three, where late-inning heroics from Alex Bregman and Luis Arraez secured the win despite a valiant Detroit comeback. Game four saw Chicago triumph 7-4, with Andrew McCutchen and Gabriel Moreno delivering back-to-back homers in the ninth inning to seal the deal. Despite Detroit’s efforts, the Mobsters clinched the series with a 5-3 win in the final game. Chicago’s offense came alive in the fifth inning, turning the tide with strategic plays and key hits, including a crucial triple by J. Chourio. River Ryan’s solid pitching, supported by a strong bullpen, ensured the Mobsters’ victory. Throughout the series, Chicago’s balanced roster and strategic depth proved decisive against Detroit’s powerful offense. The Mobsters’ ability to capitalize on key moments and maintain composure under pressure ultimately led them to a well-deserved series win, setting the tone for an exciting MWBL season ahead. |

Tempe Tempers @ Columbus Explorers |
|
|---|---|
| Preview: | Beginning of the year – hopes always run eternal – even in rebuilding years. Then you look at the schedule and YIKES! We open with 7 games hosting Tempe! Oh, well, we got to get rid of them some time, might as well be now. They are, as always, STRONG, and offering a 4 man rotation, well, they will be tough. |
| Game #1: | Looked like the typical Tempers game, a couple of homers and a 3-1 lead (and probably counting) after 5 1/2. Then the Explorers got to Peralta in the 6th for 4 runs (Andujar bases loaded triple didn’t hurt). But it was Tempe and of course, we replace Sears with stronger pitchers in the 7th only to see Tempe plate 4 runs including another homer – 3 run shot by Wily Abreu (1). Inning soaking reliever Ross Stripling stays in for Tempe and then gives up 3 runs in the Columbus half of the 7th and the Explorers regain the lead 8-7. AND then Garcia and Herrin shut the door! FINAL COLUMBUS 8-7.
TEM 7-8-0 LP Stripling (0-1) |
| Game #2: | OK – so we somehow win game 1 – wonders never cease because we win game 2 as well. Columbus plates 2 in the 2nd, another in the 4th and 2 more in the 6th off Sonny Gray. We used 2 homers – 1 by Gabriel Arias (1) – such a power hitter – his was for 2 runs. J.D. Ramirez homers (2) in the 9th to cut the final to 5-2, but Columbus hangs on for a big win.
TEM 2-6-2 LP Gray (0-1) |
| Game #3: | Wily Abreu homers (2) in the 1st, Columbus gets it back in their half. Columbus then gets a 2nd run in the 3rd to take the lead. David Peterson was holding it until J.D. Ramirez uncorks his 3rd homer of the season (3 runs) in the 6th to flip the lead. Columbus manages 1 in the 8th on Edmundo Sosa solo homer (1) off Ross Stripling, but Andres Munoz comes in to close it down in the 9th. Well, that sounded like the plan. But a walk (IBB), 2 hits and a error (Munoz himself) and low and behold the Explorers score 2 and win the game! 3 in a row!
TEM 4-9-1 LP Munoz (0-1) BS (1) |
| Game #4: | OK – Tempers have been off their feed but game 4 is their time to shine. J.D. Ramirez homers (4) in the 2nd, then Wily Abreu homers in the 4th (3) followed by another Ramirez blast (5) and newcomer Alec Marsh is in a 3-0 hole. But then the Explorers put together a few hits and 2 TEMPE ERRORS in the 5th to score 4 runs and take the lead. What is happening here. And, then the Explorers hold off Tempe over the final 5 innings and blank them to win the game 4-3 for a 4th straight win!!!! Oh, end the season now!
TEM 3-3-2 LP Yu Darvish (0-1) 4 unearned runs!!! |
| Game #5: | Well we knew good things often come to an end – and so was our winning streak. This time when Tempe put up a big inning – 5 runs in the 5th to take a lead, 5-1 – they were able to keep the lead! And win the game! And they did it without J.D. Ramirez hitting a homer. But he did get 3 hits including an rbi double and after 5 games is hitting .550! In fact, there were no Tempe homers in this one – or by anybody – but Freddy Peralta was far better in this one, 6 hits, 9ks, 1 run in 6.2 innings and Ross Stripling did not make an appearance.
TEM 6-10-1 WP Peralta (1-0) |
| Game #6: | Well just because Tempe finally turned the corner, the dream sequence for the Explorers was not over. Not by an amazing long shot. Sonny Gray got tagged for 6 runs on 7 hits – the big mess coming in an 8 run 6th inning where he was bailed out by Ross Stripling who in turn gets nailed for 4 runs in that 8 run inning and then 3 more in the 8th. It was not a good day for the Tempers (in fact, their tempers were probably flying high). Eddie Rosario did hit a late inning PH homer (1) for them, but it just was a stat by then. Columbus however got a homer from D.J. LeMahieu (1) and Edmundo Sosa (2) – but guys had 3 rbis as did Daulton Varsho in the 13-2 drubbing. J.P. Sears went the distance and fanned 9 along the way.
TEM 2- 7-0 LP Gray (0-2) |
| Game #7: | Gerritt Cole and Tobias Myers square off for the finale and it was close until Edwin Diaz gives up a 2 run homer to J.T. Realmuto in the 8th. Then Andres Munoz pitches like he should in the 9th to save the game. Tempe started the game scoring 2 in the 1st, Columbus tied it in the 3rd, but 3 runs for Tempe in the 4th gave them a lead they wouldn’t relinquish. However, Columbus plated 2 in the 6th – and squandered a chance for more and then the Realmuto blast put it away salvaging a 2nd win for Tempe on the week long series. And Ramirez didn’t get a hit in this one! But his 5 homers and .429 average for the week will probably be enough to out shadow Columbus’s Johan Rojas who hit .421, double, 2 triples, scored 6 and drove in 3. But they were fun to watch.
TEM 7-10-0 WP Cole (1-0) S Munoz (1) |
| Summary: | Well a 5-2 series win over Tempe in the opening week of the season – that’s enough to get the home town faithful hope for this season. But they better not count on it – the batters aren’t really that good. The defense is – the pitching is thin, but good in spots, but thin. Not sure what happened with Tempe – maybe their still working on chemistry. Freddie Freeman went hitless in the 1st FOUR games! And their road manager needs some tweaks (notes were already sent home to head man Douglass). But were happy with the week – wonder how many more like that we might see – but for now, WOW, what a great year! |
Triple Creek Patriots @ Long Beach Dirt Bags |
|
|---|---|
| Preview: | Long Beach opens the 2025 season hosting division rival Triple Creek. Expectations are low for the home team as they continue to rebuild. Fans are hoping for more than the 49 wins in the 2024 season. |
| Game #1: | This was a pitchers duel between Taillon and Irvin, won by the home team 3-1. They scored all 3 runs in the 3rd inning with 2 of them on a Miranda error. Irvin gave up 4 hits in 7 innings and Bradfor threw 2 perfect innings for the save. |
| Game #2: | Triple Creek’s offense exploded in the 11-2 win. Bellinger had 3 hits, Miranda 3 RBI, Nootbaar and Canha with 2 RBI each as they pounded the Dirt Bags. Gaudman went the distance to get the win. |
| Game #3: | Triple Creek took a 3-1 lead into the 7th when Aranda hit a 2 run HR to tie the game. In the 9th Soderstom had a walk off single scoring Hilliard with the winning run. |
| Game #4: | Kreker pitched into the 7 and Strahm threw 2 1/3 scoreless inings to pick up the save as Triple Creek won 3-2. Seager and India homered to lead the Patriots offense. |
| Game #5: | Triple Creek had a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the 8th with Jimenez on the mouns. Ortiz doubled in Tauchman and Myers singled in Pena to give Long Beach a 3-2 win. Both starters Quintana and Vasquez pitched 7 strong innings. |
| Game #6: | Soderstrom had his second walk off hit of the series when he homered off Knack to give Long Beach a 2-1 win. Irvin went the distance in outdueling Knack for his second win of the season. |
| Game #7: | Another great pitcher’s duel. It was coreless until the 7th when Grichuk homered for Triple Creek. It stayed that way until the bottom of the 9th. With 2 on and 2 outs, PH Myers hid a walk off HR to give Long Beach the 3-1 win. Both starters went the distance, with Harrison striking out 12 in picking up the win. |
| Summary: | Long Beach opens the season by taking 5 of 7 from Triple Creek, including 4 wins in the last at bat. |
Dallas Cougars @ Coconut Creek Crushers |
|
|---|---|
| Preview: | New year new division for the Dallas Cougars |
| Summary: | Facing one of MWBL’s best teams the Cougars manage just one win in 7 games. The game 3 victory featured two two run homers by Gimenez and Jung. |
Sacramento Capitals @ Baltimore Comets |
|
|---|---|
| Preview: | The 2025 season begins with MWBL title contender the Sacramento Capitals visiting Baltimore to face the Comets. |
| Game #1: | Ernie Clement’s 3 hits, including a homerun, and 2 RBIs pace the Capitals offense on opening day, and Chris Sale tossed 8 1/3 innings of 2-hit, shutout, ball. A Hunter Renfroe 2-run homerun in the bottom of the ninth, off Trevor Megill, would draw the Comets within a run, but that’s as close as they would get.
CAPITALS 3 / 6 / 0 |
| Game #2: | A Hunter Renfroe RBI single, and a Jorge Polanco SAC fly would give Baltimore a 2-0 lead after 1, but Shota Imanaga and Trevor Megill would shut them out the rest of the way. Meanwhile, Francisco Lindor’s 2-run, 5th inning, single would put the Capitals in front for the win.
CAPITALS 3 / 9 / 0 |
| Game #3: | D.J. Herz only retires 3 batters, as the Caps chase him after he yields 7 runs in an inning plus of work. Sacramento pounds out 18 hits and cruises to a 16-3 win. Brent Rooker hit 2 homeruns, part of a 4-hit day, and knocked in 5. 4 Comet errors contribute to 7 unearned runs.
CAPITALS 16 / 18 / 0 |
| Game #4: | After an off-day, Sacramento would follow up on their 16 run, 18 hit effort with 18 runs and 20 hits. Once again, errors kill Baltimore, as 8 of the runs were unearned. Jurickson Profar and Tyler Stephenson hit longballs for Sacramento. Kerry Carpenter and Mark Vientos each knocked in 4, as 8 of the 9 Capitals’ starters had at least 2 hits.
CAPITALS 18 / 20 / 0 |
| Game #5: | Hayden Wesneski pitches 7 strong innings, giving up only a run and 5 hits, as Sacramento wins another, 6-1. Ernie Clement leads the offense with 2 hits and 3 RBIs. The Capitals only manage 6 hits, but draw 10 walks in the victory.
CAPITALS 6 / 6 / 1 |
| Game #6: | Baltimore scores 2 in the first off Chris Sale, but once again can’t do anything else, and Sacramento completes the sweep, 4-2. Sale goes 8 to win his second. Michael Busch and Michael Massey homer in the win.
CAPITALS 4 / 7 / 1 |
| Summary: | Tough draw for Baltimore to start the season, as the Capitals leave town with a perfect 6-0 record. |

Harsens Island Walleye @ Hollywood Werewolves |
|
|---|---|
| Preview: | Hollywood enters Opening Day 2025 in an unfamiliar position—no longer the favorite to win the division for the first time in nearly 15 years. The perennial powerhouse finds itself in a precarious situation, with its entire starting rotation battling injuries. As a result, the once-dominant franchise may spend much of the season simply trying to stay afloat.
On another note, the landscape of the AL West has undergone a dramatic transformation, with three teams departing and three new teams stepping in to reshape the division. Hollywood will waste no time facing one of these fresh contenders, as they kick off the season against Harsens Island, a team eager to make its mark. Meanwhile, one of the biggest storylines heading into the season revolves around Future MWBL Hall of Famer Clayton Kershaw. The veteran left-hander, a mainstay in Hollywood’s rotation for years, received surprising news before Opening Day—he will not only be bypassed for the season opener but will begin the year in the bullpen as he continues to recover from injuries. The decision adds another wrinkle to Kershaw’s historic career, as he sits just three wins shy of tying Justin Verlander for the most victories in MWBL history (282). |
| Game #1: | Harsens Island’s Opening Day victory came down to a battle of pitching and late-game heroics. Both Bryan Woo and veteran Kyle Hendricks delivered strong performances on the mound, keeping the game tight as the innings unfolded. Woo, making his much-anticipated debut for Harsens Island, showcased his electric stuff, while Hendricks used his trademark control and finesse to keep the opposition off balance.
With the score deadlocked deep into extra innings, it was Jacob Young who played the role of hero. In the top of the 11th, Young stepped up with the game on the line and delivered a clutch two-run double, breaking the tie and putting Harsens Island in command. Hollywood managed to scrape across a run in the bottom half of the inning, but it wasn’t enough to stave off defeat. When the final out was recorded, Harsens Island secured a thrilling 3-2 victory, spoiling Hollywood’s home opener and making a strong first impression in their AL West debut. |
| Game #2: | Hollywood wasted no time jumping on Harsens Island starter Luis Gil in the first inning, capitalizing on his early command struggles. A series of walks put pressure on the right-hander, setting the stage for Masyn Winn to deliver the big blow—a towering home run that electrified the home crowd and gave Hollywood an early cushion.
However, that lead wouldn’t hold for long, as Harsens Island’s potent lineup proved relentless. Hollywood’s Pedro Sandoval took the mound looking to protect the advantage, but he quickly found himself in trouble against the top of the Walleyes’ order. The heart of Harsens Island’s lineup erupted, driving in all seven of the team’s runs and flipping the momentum in their favor. Despite Hollywood’s attempts to claw back into the game, the damage had been done. Harsens Island’s offense stayed relentless, manufacturing key hits at the right moments to secure the 7-5 victory. With back-to-back wins to open the season, the Walleyes made a loud statement in their AL West debut, while Hollywood was left searching for answers after another tough loss. |
| Game #3: | Hollywood finally broke into the win column in dominant fashion, riding the power of Aaron Judge and the brilliance of Mason Black to secure a 3-0 victory—its first of the season.
Judge wasted no time making an impact, launching the very first pitch he saw in the bottom of the first deep into the seats for his first home run of the year. The solo shot sent an early statement, energizing the home crowd and giving Hollywood an immediate 1-0 lead. The offense added a pair of insurance runs later in the game, but the night belonged to Mason Black. The 3-grade right-hander was nothing short of masterful, delivering a complete-game shutout in which he scattered just four hits, struck out five, and never allowed Harsens Island to mount any real scoring threat. Black worked efficiently, mixing his pitches and keeping the Walleyes’ lineup guessing all night. His ability to induce weak contact and attack the strike zone with confidence made for a smooth, dominant performance. With the 3-0 win, Hollywood not only avoided a serious 0-3 start but also secured its first victory of the season, showing flashes of the championship-caliber team fans have come to expect. |
| Game #4: | For the second consecutive game, Aaron Judge wasted no time putting Hollywood on the scoreboard, crushing a leadoff home run to start the game with a bang. His early-season power surge continued as he once again set the tone, igniting Hollywood’s offense in what proved to be another crucial game.
In the third inning, Ketel Marte added to the fireworks, launching a two-run homer to extend Hollywood’s lead. Marte’s blast gave the home team some breathing room and kept the momentum squarely on their side. The decisive blow, however, came in the fifth inning when Wil Brennan stepped up with two runners aboard and delivered a game-breaking three-run homer. The towering shot effectively put the game out of reach, sealing a much-needed win for Hollywood. On the mound, newly drafted Seth Johnson made his first start and did just enough to secure the victory. While he wasn’t overpowering, he battled through innings, limited damage, and handed the ball over to the bullpen with a comfortable lead. With the 7-3 victory, Hollywood evened the series at two games apiece, clawing back from an early hole and showing resilience as they continued their fight to establish momentum early in the season. |
| Game #5: | Harsens Island wasted no time applying pressure, jumping out to a 3-0 lead in the second inning as their offense looked to regain control of the series. However, Hollywood answered back quickly, with veteran slugger Paul Goldschmidt launching a two-run homer in the bottom half of the frame to cut the deficit to 3-2. Goldschmidt’s blast reignited the home crowd and put Hollywood right back in the fight.
From there, the game turned into a tense battle of pitching and timely hitting. Luis Severino and Buck Farmer did their part to keep Hollywood within striking distance, holding the Walleyes scoreless through the middle innings. Their efforts paid off in the eighth, when Aaron Schunk came through in the clutch, delivering a game-tying RBI single to knot the score at 3-3 and set the stage for a dramatic finish. With the game deadlocked, Hollywood turned to one of its all-time greats—Clayton Kershaw. The future Hall of Famer, now working out of the bullpen as he recovers from injuries, delivered a vintage performance, tossing three scoreless innings and keeping the Walleyes off the board in extras. His brilliance gave Hollywood the chance it needed, and in the bottom of the 11th, James McCann played the hero. Called upon as a pinch-hitter, McCann delivered a walk-off single, sending the Hollywood dugout into celebration as they secured a thrilling 4-3 victory. The win marked a significant milestone for Kershaw, as he earned career victory No. 280, inching closer to history. It also, albeit briefly, put Hollywood over the .500 mark—an achievement that may not come often this season given their early struggles. More importantly, the victory gave them a 3-2 series lead, proving that despite their challenges, Hollywood still has plenty of fight left. |
| Game #6: | In a highly anticipated rematch of Game 1, both Bryan Woo and Kyle Hendricks took the mound once again, each delivering another strong performance in a tightly contested battle. From the outset, the game had the feel of a pitcher’s duel, with both hurlers keeping opposing offenses in check.
Harsens Island struck first in the second inning when Jacob Young delivered a clutch two-run single, giving the Walleyes an early lead. They added to their advantage in the fourth when Nicky Lopez lined an RBI single, extending the lead to 3-0. With Woo dealing on the mound, those runs proved to be all Harsens Island needed. Woo was in complete control for most of the night, carving through the Hollywood lineup with efficiency and command. He carried a shutout into the ninth inning, just one out away from a complete game, before Joey Loperfido finally broke through. The Hollywood slugger launched a two-run homer, cutting the deficit to 3-2 and suddenly bringing the home crowd to life. With the game on the line, Harsens Island wasted no time turning to closer Bryan King. Called upon for a one-out save, King needed just a few pitches to shut the door, picking up his third save of the season and securing the victory for the Walleyes. With the 3-2 win, Harsens Island evened the series at three games apiece, setting the stage for a dramatic Game 7 showdown. |
| Game #7: | For the second time in the series, Pedro Sandoval was handed an early lead, but once again, he was unable to hold it. Hollywood jumped ahead quickly in the first inning when Matt Chapman crushed a two-run homer, giving the home team an early advantage and firing up the crowd. However, the lead would not last.
Harsens Island chipped away in the fourth, with Derek Hill delivering a game-tying hit to erase Hollywood’s advantage. The back-and-forth battle continued in the fifth as both teams traded runs, as Aaron Judge hammers his third homer of the series, setting up a tense final stretch with everything on the line. Looking to protect the slim lead, Hollywood turned to veteran Clayton Kershaw in the sixth, hoping the future Hall of Famer could shut the door. However, the Walleyes’ relentless offense had other plans. Back-to-back doubles from Jacob Stallings and Gavin Lux flipped the game in Harsens Island’s favor, giving them a lead they wouldn’t relinquish. The Walleyes added an insurance run in the ninth, extending their lead to 5-3 and putting the game out of reach. Hollywood was unable to mount a comeback in the bottom half, and when the final out was recorded, Harsens Island had secured both the victory and the series, taking the decisive Game 7. The loss marked a tough ending for Hollywood, as Kershaw was saddled with the defeat despite his efforts out of the bullpen. Meanwhile, Harsens Island walked away with a hard-fought 4-3 series win, making a strong statement in their first matchup as division rivals. |
| Summary: | Harsens Island emerged victorious in a hard-fought battle, winning the series 4 games to 3. However, despite falling short, Hollywood exceeded expectations and showed more fight than many had anticipated.
Coming into the series, Hollywood faced significant doubts, particularly with their injury-riddled pitching staff and a lineup still finding its rhythm. Yet, they proved to be far more competitive than expected, pushing Harsens Island to the limit and demonstrating resilience throughout the seven-game set. Hollywood showcased its trademark power early in the series, with Aaron Judge setting the tone with multiple leadoff home runs, while veterans like Paul Goldschmidt and Matt Chapman provided key contributions. Young players also stepped up, including Aaron Schunk and Wil Brennan, who delivered clutch hits to keep Hollywood in the fight. On the pitching side, Mason Black delivered a brilliant complete-game shutout, and Clayton Kershaw, despite his new role in the bullpen, gave the team valuable innings. Though he took the loss in Game 7, his presence on the mound showed he could still be a factor as the season progresses. In the end, while Harsens Island secured the series win, Hollywood walked away with plenty of positives. If they can build on this performance and get their pitching staff healthy, they may yet prove to be a legitimate contender in the AL West. |
