Preview:	Cincinnati heads to Gainesville as the Swamp Things are struggling to put things together as we get into the thick of the season. Cincinnati has a steep hill within the division but a good series can get them back above .500.

Game #6:	Same score as game 5 but this time Cincinnati blew the lead in the 8th to send it to extra innings. 2 runs in the 10th is all that was needed for their 5th win in 6 games. Summary:	Cincinnati took care of business winning 5 of 7 in the series and getting themselves 2 games clear of .500. It will take some work to still get to the division lead but they are showing signs of the team coming together. Gainesville continues their fall in the standings and are now 4 games under .500.

Game #1:	The Cycle jump on Seth Lugo for 5 in the 4th. Corktown 6-4 W. Luis Ortiz 1-1 L. Seth Lugo 4-5 S. Jay Jackson (3)
Game #2:	For the 2nd straight game Corktown chases a Yucaipa starter early. Corktown 7-2 W. Josiah Gray 4-3 L. Bailey Falter 0-6
Game #3:	Great pitching duel. Jared Kelenic walks it off with a solo HR in the 9th. Corktown 2-1 W. Bryce Jarvis 2-0 L. Vince Velasquez 0-6 CG
Game #4:	Only 5 hits total in this entire game 3 by the Road Runners and 2 by the home team. For the 2nd straight game a complete game gem twirled by a Yucaipa starter was spoiled. This time it was in the worst way. Jazz Chisholm walks in the 9th and steals 2nd base. The ball was thrown into the outfield on the stolen base and Jazz would end up scoring for the walk off. Incredible loss for Greinke. 8.1 9 strikeouts 2 hits and 2 walks. Corktown rookie goes 8.1 himself with 10 0ks 2 hits and 1 walk. Corktown 1-0 W. Jay Jackson 1-1 L. Zack Greinke 2-13 CG
Game #5:	More great pitching. The Road Runners finally get their W out of it. Yucaipa 2-1 W. Kyle Bradish 3-6 L. Jose Berrios 8-5 S. Miguel Castro (9)
Game #6:	2 starters, 9 total hits both going the distance yet again. 3rd Road Runner pitcher this series to do so. Seth Lugo punches out 14 Cycle batters while walking 0. But Yucaipa is left scratching their heads as they left their bats in California. Corktown 1-0 W. Bryan Bello 7-4 CG L. Seth Lugo 4-6 CG
Game #7:	Corktown 3-2 W. Luis Ortiz 2-1 L. Bailey Falter 0-7 S. Jay Jackson (4)
Summary:	Corktown gets 6 out of 7. The Road Runners stuck to their name and ran wild on the base paths having no trouble stealing bases. The problem is the bats were unable to drive in the runs. Pitching did their job. The home team is lucky to have such an outcome.

Detroit Crime @ Virginia Sluggers
Preview:	Two bottom dwelling teams looking to move up.
Game #1:	VIR 15-0 This was a game dominated by pitching. Dunning went 6 IP allowing 1 hit. Two relievers then faced 9 batters in the last 3 innings not allowing a hit. Oh, there was some hitting. VIR had 19 hits. Jiminez was 4-6 with 2 HR and 6 RBI while J.Palacios was 4-5 with 2 HR and 5 RBI,
Game #2:	VIR 9-1 The bats stayed hot. Vir with 17 hits. Everybody but Winn got hits. Palacios was 4-4 with a RBI double. Springer was 3-5 and Murphy was 2-5 with a 3-run blast. Wisdom and Voit were both 2-4 for DET.
Game #3:	DET 5-3 Pham and Machado led the way with 2 hits each and a homer apiece. Pham chipped in 2 RBI and McKinney added a 2-run single. On the mound, Nola kept VIR at bay over 7 IP scattering 5 hits to move his record to 6-5. Reynolds went deep for VIR.
Game #4:	VIR 5-3 Same score as last game only different winner. After Rizzo put VIR ahead with a 3-run homer in the 4th, DET made it 3-2 with 2 runs in the 7th. VIR countered with a Jiminez 2-run single in the bottom of the 7th, which proved to be the winner as McKinney ripped a 9th inning homer for DET to round out the scoring.
Game #5:	DET 9-6 Closer than it was. DET jumped out with 4 runs in the 1st and led 8-2 going into the 8th. Wisdom was 4-5 with a homer and 3 RBI and Machado 2-5 with 4 RBI. Harper also went deep for DET. VIR’s 4-run 8th was highlighted by Springer’s 3-run longball but A.Diaz came in to shut VIR down and get his 7th save.
Game #6:	VIR 6-2 Machado’s 2-run homer (he had a good series) in the 3rd looked good for 6 innings as DET was leading 2-0. Then things fell apart. Rengifo’s 2-run single spurred a 3-run 7th for VIR as they took the lead and Springer and Merrifield added more runs as VIR put up 3 more in the 8th and let the bullpen close it out for the win.
Summary:	Virginia took the series 4-2 mainly with their bats and some fortuitous pitching.

Long Beach Dirt Bags @ Sacramento Capitals
Summary:	In a battle between two very bad teams, Long Beach takes 4 of 6 from Sacramento.

Harsens Island Walleye @ Baltimore Comets
Preview:	Battle for 4th place in the N.L. East, as Harsens Island (33-43) visits Baltimore (34-43).
Game #1:	Baltimore clubs 3 homeruns: Bryson Stott (11), Hunter Renfroe (9), and Trevor Larnach (3), but still fall to the Walleye 7-4. Josh Naylor leads the Harsens Island offense with a single and a pair of doubles, scoring twice. WALLEYE 7 / 11 / 0 COMETS 4 / 9 / 1 WP – Woo (2-5) LP – Mikolas (2-9) S – Springs (6)

Game #3:	Baltimore scores 4 times in the 1st and holds on for a 4-2 victory. Dakota Hudson pitches 7 innings to earn his 10th win of the season. Game #6:	Josh Naylor hits a grand slam, part of a 6 RBI day, as Harsens Island wins a wild one, 11-9. 4 Walleye homer in the game: Naylor (12), Luis Guillorme (2), Alex Call (6), and Ji-Hwan Bae (1). Joey Gallo hit his 8th homerun, and Joey Wiemer went deep twice (5, 6) for Baltimore. WALLEYE 11 / 13 / 2 COMETS 9 / 9 / 0 WP – Farmer (6-4) LP – Mikolas (2-10) S – Hentges (3)
Summary:	Not much was settled, as Baltimore leaves the series in the same place they were in when the series began, a half game in front of the Walleye in a struggle to stay out of the N.L. East basement.

Chicago Mobsters @ Coconut Creek Crushers
Preview:	Another potential playoff matchup.
Game #1:	CCC gets to Luzardo early and coasts to a 7-4 win.
Game #2:	Almost a replay of Game 1. CCC blows up Miller early and coasts to a 7-4 win.
Game #3:	Bassitt only gives up 3 hits in a complete game, but two of them clear the fence. But….the story was Domingo German. He pitched 8-2/3 no-hit ball before Yandy Diaz broke it up. CCC wins 3-0.
Game #4:	Webb cruised for CCC only to see the bullpen almost cough it up. CCC holds on to win 5-4.
Game #5:	Brandon Marsh hits for the cycle to back Snell in an 8-1 CCC win.
Game #6:	Luzardo is strong this time around. CHI goes into the 9th with a 3 run lead. CCC plates 2 and leaves the tying run in scoring position. CHI wins 4-3.
Summary:	CCC almost pulls off the rare series sweep. Marsh hit for a cycle and German loses a no-hitter with 2 outs in the 9th.

Columbus Explorers @ Prairie Falcons
Preview:	Prairie still clinging onto 2nd place in the division before they head out into the Heated Tempe weather and get sunburnt and blistered….Columbus planted firmly in the lower end of their division and have full control of it…
Game #1:	Flambert vs Fleming Josh Fleming tosses 7 nice innings to lower his era to 3.62 which is incredible considering he is a grade 5…and the Falcons needed one big inning to secure his 9th – yes that’s right 9th win of the season…Benintendi put some mustard on the hot dog for a 3 run jack and you can have hot dogs without the Burgers – Jake Burger hit a 2 run homer to cap off a 5 run 4th inning and the Falcons roll..PRA 9 – COL 1
Game #2:	Columbus struggles to put up any kind of offensive as Elder goes 7+ innings giving up a lone run to Oscar Colonoscopy in the 8th before we bring out Adbert for his 17th Save…Falcons dont really pound the ball but get SF from conforto and a ground out RBI from Grisham for 50% of their run productions..it wasnt pretty but a win is a win…PRA 4 – COL 1
Game #3:	Schmidt vs Boyd Falcons ace on the hill after he tossed a CGSHO last week was touched for single runs in 1st, 5th and 7th but the Falcons offense countered with innings of multiple runs as they score 3, 2 and 6 capped by another bomb from Burger in this 11-4 rout. Boyd and his grade 4 up the Win column to 9 and that gives us 18 wins from a grade 4 & 5 combined…unreal…I am sure Tempe has that posted all over the locker room as they salivate seeing those grades across the diamond…PRA 11 – COL 4
Game #4:	Peterson vs Shintaro Grade 3 as we just keep getting lower and lower and lower… Top of the 2nd and the Cologuard rips a 2 run single and the Explorers are setting sail…the Bottom of the 3rd… and land ho!!! Burger with a 3 run bomb followed back to back by Zack Gelof and it is 4-2 Falcons…Brendan Donovan rips a solo shot but that was nixed by a Gelof double followed by a Casas single and it is 5-3 when the pen comes in and Kenley gets to square off with Lematheau..Yankees win this battle of NYY -BOS as he takes Jansen deep and it is 5-4 but…here comes Adbert…who actually manages to make it interesting giving up a BB and a single but yet again he notches the save – his 18th on the season PRA 5 – COL 4
Game #5:	Liquidity vs Asscraft It is never and I mean never a good sign when Javier Baez goes 2 for 3 with 2 RBI’S…Not that it was a blow out by all means it was a tight affair – 4 runs total just 3 of them belonged to the Falcons and for the 3rd time this series Falcons pitching holds Explores to a single run. Adbert added another save for 19 – PRA 3 – COL 1
Game #6:	It must have been Luis Garcia bobblehead giveaway day at the park because he was eessentially in on everything today…ok maybe no the 2 run homer by DJ LeMathieu giving the exlporers an early 2 run lead in the opening frame..bottom of 2nd and Boom! Luis reaches the seats to cut down the lead 2-1 but in the 4th with 2 outs Garcia throws the ball int he dirt and a run scores giving COL a 3-1 lead…Bottom of the 6th and Kiriloff laces an RBI single and brings the Birds to within 1…Bottom of the 7th and Zach Gelof hits a pinch hit game tying single and then 3 batters later it was Luis Garcia with an RBI single to give the Birds a 4-3 lead. With the game on the line and Adbert Tired who do you gonna call..Ghostbusters!!! Not quite but we give the ball to Cionel Perez..he promptly goes 2 shutout innings for his first save of the year PRA 4 – COL 3
Summary:	A Broom was brought out of the Prairie to sweep the porch of dust and debris….Falcons get it all out of their system this week as we head to Tempe for a classic – so you think you are a contender series…Columbus just could not get the key hits and were constantly behind the 8 ball. No injuries which is always music to a teams ears…Burger with 3 bombs – Adbert with 3 saves…CBUS just shrugs its shoulders as it doesnt get any easier next week when they travel to first place Bethesda

Game #3:	MCM M.Grove vs SBL T.Houck The opposite of a pitcher’s duel, a good old fashioned slug fest. MCM jumps out to a 10-2 lead after 4 innings with the big hits being a K.Smith 3-run HR in the T2, a K.Carpenter 2-run HR in the T3, and a Candelario 3-run HR in the T4. MCM Amaya hits a 2-run HR in the T6 and Maton hits a 2-run HR in the T7 to make it 14-4 MCM going into the SBL B7 SBL put a scare into the Muscle with a 7 run B7 with the keys hits being a Tucker 3-rbi 3b and a Bichette 2-run HR; MCM up 14-11 SBL Soto’s rbi-1b in the B8 pulls the Lynx within a run but MCM J.Chargois gets out of the 8th and then Bazardo relieves him in the B9 to close out the game. Game #6:	MCM P.Blackburn vs SBL T.Henry SBL out early in the B1 when Altuve bbs, a Tucker groundout, and then a Raley rbi-1b, followed by a Muncy rbi-2b SBL then plates 4 runs in the B2 on a Altuve 2-rbi 2b, a Tucker rbi-2b, and a Raley rbi-1b SBL adds 4 more in the B3 with a series of walks, singles, a double and an error to push the Lynx lead to 10-0 MCM would put a 5-spot on the board in the T5 to force SBL to go to the bullpen. The big hit being a Maton 2-rbi 1b SBL Kelly, Yates, and Holton close out the game for the Lynx WP-T.Henry SBL LP-P.Blackburn MCM Southbend 10, Motor City 5

Tijuana Bottle Rockets @ Fremont Cannons
Preview:	Tijuana tries to keep pace in the playoff picture, while Fremont tries to pad their AL East lead.
Game #1:	Framber Valdez (TIJ) vs Sandy Alcantara (FRE) Run scoring singles from Manuel Margot and Elias Diaz are all Fremont needs as they blank the Bottle Rockets 2-0, with the two teams combining for just 7 hits.
Game #2:	Spencer Strider (TIJ) vs Garrett Whitlock (FRE) Garrett Whitlock strikes out 11, but also gives up 3 HR as Tijuan takes the second game 6-2. Fremont nearly pulled off a ninth- inning comeback; after loading the bases, Nolan Gorman stepped to the plate: “The runners take their lead … the pitch to GORMAN … and GORMAN goes out and gets it a long drive to deep left field … CARROLL galloping back … back … back and he makes the running catch”
Game #3:	Marcus Stroman (TIJ) vs Kodai Senga (FRE) Kodai Senga walks 9, hits a batter, and commits an error and a balk in this one. Five of Tijuana’s nine hits are doubles, and they leave 13 on base. The 6-2 Tijuana win could have even been bigger.
Game #4:	Reese Olsen (TIJ) vs Griffin Canning (FRE) Another 5-double day from the Bottle Rockets. Fremont picks up 8 hits but only one run. Tijuana takes it 7-1.
Game #5:	Grayson Rodriguez (TIJ) vs Tyler Alexander (FRE) A 3-run 1st inning looks like more misery for the Cannons, but they battle back to tie it at 4-4 in the 6th. Bullpen ace Shelby Miller gives up the go-ahead HR to Garrett Hampson in the 8th and Tijuana takes it 5-4.
Game #6:	Framber Valdez (TIJ) vs Sandy Alcantara (FRE) A rematch of the 1st game, this one showcased dominant pitching from the starters. The umpire spoils this one in the ninth, with a 0-0 score ejecting Sandy Alcantara after his first hit batsman. Corbin Carroll takes advantage of the HBP with a steal of second. Isaac Paredes is intentionally walked, then Carroll steals 3rd. Elehuris Montero triples in both of them, and Tijuana takes the finale 2-0. Valdez gets the 12-K CGSO with just one hit allowed, a Joey Bart single in the 5th. Fremont allowed just two hits in the loss, both to Elehuris Montero.
Summary:	Tijuana thumps the Cannons 5 games to 1 in Fremont. A disaster start from Senga, untimely HR given up by Shelby Miller, and badly scripted ejection of Sandy Alcantara helped sink Fremont, but the offense was the real culprit. Shohei Ohtani managed 5 hits in the series, all singles, and failed to score a run or drive one in. Even worse was Vladimir Guerrero Jr., batting .048 with one single and no runs scored or driven in. Next week, Tijuana hosts another AL East squad in Cincinnati, while Fremont hosts Gainesville for seven.
