STAT LEADER – I’LL HAVE 3 PLEASE
For the first time in 4 years, we had a hitter reach 15 triples. None other than Magneuris Sierra of the Yucaipa Road Runners.

While the 15 triples aren’t the most in a single season, it is good for a tie for 15th all-time. It is a hard stat to come by for most hitters.
But what makes this even more impressive is that Sierra did it while struggling at the plate as a whole. He finished the season hitting .173 and an OPS of just .471. 15 of his 85 hits on the year were triples and Sierra only had 7 other extra-base hits, which were all doubles.
