Detroit Crime @ Chicago Mobsters
Series Preview:	Detroit heads West on I-94 for a Division Match Up with big time rival from Chicago in the Mobsters. Both teams have playoff aspirations & the series is expected to be quite the evenly matched series.
Game #1:	After being down 3 to 0, Chicago puts up a 4 spot in the bottom half of the 3rd & that’s all the scoring this one sees. J.D. Martinez has the big blow with a 3 Run shot. Chicago works the bullpen throwing out four relievers. Final Score: Chicago 4 – Detroit 3 W-Noah Syndergaard (3-0 3.18) L-Madison Bumgarner (2-1 3.33) S-Aroldis Chapman (5)
Game #2:	Making his Mid-West Baseball League debut, Alex Reyes starts out fast, Striking out the first 3 batters he faces (Bryce Harper, Ichiro & Manny Machado. It doesn’t stop their for Reyes as he Strikes Out his 4th in a row getting Sean Rodriguez for the 1st Out f the 2nd. Reyes then walks a couple, but Strikes Out the next two batters for 6 outs on 6 K’s. He gets two more Strike Outs to start the 3rd for 8 Outs – all on Strikes.Chicago scored 5 in the 1st Inning & 1 in the 2nd – that was all she wrote for the Crime. Chicago works the bullpen using 3 Relievers after Reyes who pitched 5 Innings, ending with 9 K’s.Final Score: Chicago 6 – Detroit 0 W-Alexander Reyes (1-0 0.00) L-Bartolo Colon (1-2 8.36)
Game #3:	Chicago’s Aroldis Chapman blows the Save giving up a solo Home Run to Bryce Harper with 2 out in the 9th & the Crime score 2 in the 10th to steal this one from the Mobsters. Adam Jones is 3 for 5 for Detroit. Final Score: Detroit 5 – Chicago 3 W-Matt Bush (1-0 2.16) L-Evan Scribner (0-1 0.00) S-Zach Britton (4)
Game #4:	Chicago scores one in the 9th as Billy Hamilton Pinch Runs, Steals, 2nd, 3rd & Home on a Double Steal with Josh Donaldson to tie the game at 3 runs a piece. With two runners on & no one Out in the 13th, Detroit brings in Kevin Siegrist to Dexter Fowler. Fowler connects on a 3 Run – walk off Bomb & the Mobsters shower Fowler with Gatorade. Final Score: Chicago 6 – Detroit 3 W-Wade Davis (1-0 0.00) L-Alex Wilson (1-1 2.35)
Game #5:	Julio Urias making his Mid-West Baseball League Debut pitches 5 innings allowing only 1 Earned Run & hands it over to the bullpen. Andrew Miller gives up a 2 Run Home Run to Danny Espinosa in the 9th to wash away the Win for Urias. Chicago’s & Detroit match up bullpens for the 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th – but in the bottom of the 16 the Crime can’t contain the Mobsters who push across the winning run. Final Score: Chicago 6 – Detroit 3 W-Matt Koch (1-0 0.00) L-Ken Giles (0-1 2.00)
Game #6:	Madison Bumgarner & Noah Syndergaard are the marquee match up in this one. Neither pitcher allows a run through 8 Innings. Sean Rodriguez belts a solo shot in the 9th is all the scoring that happens. Syndergaard goes the full 9 Innings & does the job needed to for Chicago to give the bullpen a much needed day off. Final Score: Detroit 1 – Chicago 0 W-Madison Bumgarner (3-1 2.57) L-Noah Syndergaard (3-1 2.42) S-Zach Britton (5)
Game #7:	Josh Donaldson has 2 RBI’s & Solo Home Run from Kolten Wong & a 2-Run Shot from Nelson Cruz give Chicago a 4-1 lead heading into the top of the 8th. But Andrew Miller just isn’t right on the mound & allows a 2-Run Home run to Manny Machado, making the score 4-3 Chicago. The Mobsters go to their closer in Aroldis Chapman who comes in for a 1-2-3 9th Inning. Final Score: Chicago 4 – Detroit 3 W-Alexander Reyes (2-0 0.00) L-Bartolo Colon (1-3 7.29) S-Aroldis Chapman (6)
Series Summary:	In a very close series Chicago comes away with a 5-2 record, but by no means was Detroit ever out of a game. Chicago’s bullpen is a little tired heading into the Motor City for a match up with the Muscle. Detroit heads East & ventures down to Virginia to take on the Sluggers next week.

Jersey Nor’easters @ Rosemere Renegades
Series Preview:	Home opener of the new franchise. Excitement can be feel throughout the city.
Game #1:	Rosemere gives the crowd a threat as they plate four in B1. That was all the scoring as Rosemere wins the opener 4-0 Paxton goes the distance. Rosemere 4 Jersey 0
Game #2:	Jersey jumped on an early 3-0 lead. Rosemere got a couple back in the 3rd and one more in the 4th to bring everyone back to square one. The tie lasted until B9 as Pagan led off the inning with a double, promptly stole third and came home right after. Rosemere 4 Jersey 3
Game #3:	Lopez two run shot in B5 got this game started. Hernandez PH triple in B6 brought the score 5-0 for the locals. Jersey tried to make things a little more interesting later on but Romo secured Gsellman perfect season start as he collected his 4th win. Rosemere 6 Jersey 2 What the &8?4# is happening North of the border …
Game #4:	Jersey’s Quintana tossed a one run four hitter on a close one (until the 9th inning) Jersey 5 Rosemere 1
Game #5:	Jersey got on the board in the 4th with a couple. Rosemere response came in B6 as they sent three home but only a couple were ahead of the throws… 2-2 after 6. The tie lasted till the 9th inning then Hernandez hit a 3 runs triple to break it open. Jersey 6 Rosemere 2
Game #6:	Bruce 2 runs double in the first set the table for a 3 runs first. Bruce got back at Paxton with a three run shot in the 3rd. Bruce ended his day with 6 rbis. Jersey 11 Rosemere 1
Series Summary:	The locals took the first three then played good host loosing the final three. Fans could be heard singing La Marseillaise to J Loria… Rosemere 3 Jersey 3

Windy City Black Sox @ Long Beach Dirt Bags
Series Preview:	Opening day in Long Beach with the home fans hoping for a competitive team.
Game #1:	A great pitcher’s duel won by Windy City 1-0. Saunders singled in the only run of the game in the first. Harvey left after 1 inning with an injury but the Black Sox bullpen threw 8 innings of 5 hit ball to close out the win. Anderson gave up just 2 hits and struck out 9 in 7 innings but took the tough luck loss.
Game #2:	Windy City broke open a close game with 4 runs in the 9th and won 6-1. Beltran had a key 2 run PH 1B to key the rally. Severino pitched 6 2/3 strong innings to pick up his first win of the season.
Game #3:	Samardzija broke a 2-2 tie with a RBI 1B in the 8th and Windy City won 3-2. In an unusual managing move, Samardzjia didn’t come out to pitch the bottom of the 8th as Hembree and Jansen finished up the Black Sox win.
Game #4:	After Windy City took a 4-0 lead in the 2nd, Long Beach came back and tied it behind a 3 run HR from Kiermaier. It was still 4-4 in the 7th when Pedroia singled in Maxwell with the winning run as the Dirt Bags won their first game of the series 5-4.
Game #5:	Utley had an unbelievable game going 5-6 with 3 HRs and 7 RBI to lead Windy City to a 12-3 win. Arenado was also 5-6 and had a HR as the Black Sox pounded out 19 hits.
Game #6:	Anderson went the distance giving up 6 hits and striking out 10 in the Long Beach 2-1 win. Peavy gave up just 3 hits and had 10Ks in 6 innings but took the tough loss when an Arenado error led to 2 unearned runs in the 2nd inning.
Game #7:	This was a wild game. Long Beach took a 4-0 lead but Windy City stormed back to take an 8-4 lead. Long Beach cut it to 8-7 but Beltran hit a 2 run HR in the 6th to make it 10-7. Long Beach cut it to 10-9 in the 7th but couldn’t get any closer and Jansen closed out the 10-9 win. The Black Sox offense was led by with 5 hits along with Belt and Gardner with 3 RBI each.
Series Summary:	Windy City wins the series 5-2.

Columbus Explorers @ Selkirk Steelers
Series Preview:	Columbus visits Selkirk and takes 5 of the 7 games
Series Summary:	Columbus wins 5 of the 7 games. Blackmon had a monster series

Corktown Cycle @ Pittsburgh Lumber Company
Series Preview:	NL East rivals square off.
Game #1:	4-3 PIT. Eduardo Rodriguez goes 6 shutout innings, but Corktown scores 3 in the 9th to make it interesting.
Game #2:	5-4 PIT. Sean Manaea goes 5 shutout innings, but gets injured for 17 days. Once again the Lumber Company bullpen nearly blows it, as Corktown scores 1 in the top of the 9th to make it a one run game. But Kelley slams the door and collects his 3rd save of the young season.
Game #3:	6-5 (11) PIT. Sensing a theme here? One run games reign supreme. Both Andriese and DeSclafani stink up the mound, but each bullpen is tough. Corey Knebel surrenders the losing run in the 11th for the Cycle.
Game #4:	2-1 PIT. Another one run game. Cole Hamels is just a tick better than Colin Rea, even though he surrendered more hits. Kelley gets save #4.
Game #5:	6-3 PIT. The string of one run affairs is broken, as Pittsburgh doubles up Corktown. Chad Kuhl is masterful, going 8 shutout innings with only 3 hits, 0 walks, and 9 Ks. Fernando Abad starts off the 9th and certainly lives up to his last name — surrendering 3 runs on 4 hits without collecting a single out. Shawn Kelley puts out the fire with save #5.
Game #6:	6-2 CRK. The Cycle avoids the sweep, as they jump all over Eduardo Rodriguez the 2nd time they face him.
Series Summary:	A 5-1 home stand keeps the fans happy.

Valdosta Snappers @ Tempe Tempers
Series Preview:	The Tempers returned to Tempe for their home opener and found themselves with half game lead on Valdosta and leading the division for the first time in 175 games. After losing the division to Columbus and being quickly bounced from the playoffs by Clovis in 2016, management made multiple moves to re-establish the rotation during the offseason that have energized the fan base.
Game #1:	Chris Carter continued to be unworldly with a three run homerun and a two run rbil double. Unfortunately, Lewis couldn’t hold the lead and three run homerun by Cespedes off Kimbrell in the 8th put the game out of reach. Tempe 11-6
Game #2:	Lester threw six scoreless innings to extend his scoreless streak to 30 IP. A couple costly errors allowed Tempe to put three runs on the board in the 4th and home runs Votto and Cano put Tempe up 6-0. A Carter three run shot in the 8th (That’s 12 HR in 15 games) made things interesting, but Law closed it out for the save. Tempe 6-4
Game #3:	Wright and Santiago combined for a four hit shutout of Valdosta. Tempe 7-0
Game #4:	A very costly collision in the 6th between Inciarte (7 days) and Martin (2 days) allowed Tempe to score 2 runs and break a 1-1 tie. Barnett went two innings for the save.
Game #5:	Lester’s scoreless streak came to end in the 1st when Peraza hit a solo homerun. Reynolds added another solo in the 2nd, but Tempe rallied back to give Lester his 4th win of the season. A Garcia two run homerun made it interesting in the 8th, but Law closed it out in the 9th. Tempe 6-4
Game #6:	Guerro threw five hit-less innings and Chacin pitched the last four for the save. Cespedes three run homerun capped a four run first. Tempe 6-0
Game #7:	Neither pitcher pitched past the first inning. Carter’s 3rd homerun of the series and a Seth Smith two run homerun put Valdosta up 3-0 in the top of the 1st. Tempe however responded with seven runs in the bottom of the 1st. A Cespedes pinch hit three run homerun in the bottom of the 1st ended being the difference in the game. Tempe 8-6
Series Summary:	Tempe’s offense was firing on all cylinders as they sweep the seven game series. Valdosta’s pen never even had a chance to preserve a lead as the starters just couldn’t get it done. Cespedes hit three homeruns and had 12 RBI’s.

Virginia Sluggers @ Fremont Cannons
Series Preview:	Cead mile failte as the MWBL expands its international footprint with a St. Patrick’s Day series from Derry~Londonderry, Northern Ireland.
Game #1:	Khris Davis hits two home runs to lead Fremont to the ten-inning victory, 7-6.
Game #2:	Perdomo is strong in shutting down Fremont for the 8-2 Virginia victory.
Game #3:	Tillman racks up 12 strikeouts in Virginia’s 7-0 shutout victory.
Game #4:	Virginia ties it with three in the ninth, but McCann’s homer in the tenth wins it for Fremont 5-4. Slainte!
Game #5:	Carlos Santana leads Virginia in pounding Fremont 12-3.
Game #6:	De la Rosa holds Fremont to one run as Virginia takes the finale 10-1.
Series Summary:	Virginia takes the series 4-2 against the host Cannons.

Series Preview:	Dallas @ Motor City for 7 games
Game #1:	DAL 2 – MCM 1 WP: Cashner LP: Verlander (CG) SV: Diaz HR: DAL–Wilkins, Solarte Cashner inexplicably dominates, striking out 10 while only giving up two hits. Verlander made two mistakes, and both were turned into souvenirs.
Game #2:	DAL 3 – MCM 0 WP: Norris (CG) LP: de Grom HR: none Muscles offense still can’t figure out Cougar pitching.
Game #3:	MCM 8 – DAL 3 WP: Blevins LP: C. Anderson HR: MCM–Werth, Ramirez; DAL–Franklin, Collins MCM builds a 5-0 lead and doesn’t look back. Blevins gets the win with 2.2 innings of relief.
Game #4:	MCM 5 – DAL 4 (11 inn.) WP: Hart LP: Warren HR: MCM–Freese MCM had an early 3-0 lead but DAL overtook them on a 7th inning two-run double by Harrison and an error on Panik. Freese’s solo HR in the 8th tied it. Several scoring chances were squandered by both teams until the 11th when Castellanos ended it with a SF.
Game #5:	DAL 7 – MCM 5 WP: Alvarez LP: Harris SV: Lowe HR: DAL–Solarte (2), Franceour; MCM–Castellanos, Panik Another see-saw game, with DAl pulling it out late. Solarte was the difference-maker, with 2 HRs and 5 RBI.
Game #6:	DAL 11 – MCM 4 WP: Cashner LP: Verlander HR: DAL–Wilkins, Polanco, Abreu; MCM–Perez Cashner agains was possessed by Cy Young, while Verlander looked like Mike Pelfrey.
Game #7:	DAL 7 – MCM 4 WP: Norris LP: Leake SV: Diaz HR: DAL–Hundley, Solarte; MCM–Castellanos, Orlando the wind was blowing out again, with four more HRs.
Series Summary:	DAL takes the series 4 games to 2 Solarte was the star for DAL: in only 5 games, he hit .500 (11 for 22), with 10 RBI, 4 HRs, and 4 runs scored. Andrew Cashner won 2 games, and Diaz had 2 Saves
