TROY TULOWITZKI – HALL OF FAME BIO
Troy Tulowitzki’s 12-season Mid-West Baseball League career makes him an undeniable candidate for the Hall of Fame. Spanning 1,477 games, primarily with the Long Beach Dirt Bags and Tempe Tempers, Tulowitzki was a central figure in the MWBL’s National League for over a decade.
His regular season career totals—which include 217 home runs, 710 RBIs, and a robust career .835 OPS—are matched by a defensive resume that earned him a Gold Glove award in 2012. His consistent excellence was recognized six times with League All-Star selections (2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015), including three starts.
Tulowitzki’s peak was truly elite, culminating in the 2014 season, where he earned the National League Most Valuable Player award for the Tempe Tempers. During that historic run, he hit a league-leading .336 AVG, posted a spectacular 1.017 OPS, and blasted 33 HR with 100 RBI. He had previously finished third in the MVP race in 2011, where he had a batting line of .316/.392/.576 with 31 HR and 101 RBI.
Crucially, Tulowitzki consistently elevated his performance when it mattered most. While he demonstrated solid hitting across his All-Star Game appearances with a career .273 average, his post-season heroics are HOF-worthy. Across 29 games in the Division Series, he was dominant, hitting 6 HR, driving in 21 RBIs, and posting a stellar .945 career OPS. Though his League Championship and World Series OPS figures were lower, his output was still strong at the premier defensive position. While his career was a bit short, his combination of defensive hardware, MVP peak, and clutch hitting cements his legacy.
