TIM HUDSON GOES NUMBER ONE TO KENTUCKY

For Immediate Release
February 5, 2000

Draft Central —  Detroit, Michigan The Kentucky Head Hunters went out and got their future ace as they call him. With the first pick of the Mid-West Baseball League 2000 Draft the Head Hunters selected right handed starting pitcher, out of the Oakland A’s system Tim Hudson.  Hudson will make his MWBL debut sometime this spring for the Head Hunters, and General Manager Brian Scantland was quite happy to acquire his future ace.  “With all of the players available in the MWBL draft, the clear cut pick was Hudson.  His numbers don’t lie, and he could dominate teams for years to come.”.  Hudson, will go along with Steve Woodward as the 1-2 in the Kentucky rotation.  General Manager  Scantland believes with Hudson on board and the recent acquisition of Derek Jeter, that they could contend for a +.500 season, and a future Wild Card berth as the Head Hunters mature.
