RYAN BRAUN – HALL OF FAME BIO

Ryan Braun’s remarkable 14-season career in the Mid-West Baseball League is a testament to sustained excellence, power, and clutch play, establishing him as a clear choice for the MWBL Hall of Fame. Spanning multiple teams—including long stints with the Topeka Talons, Tijuana Bottle Rockets, and Tempe Tempers—Braun retired as one of the league’s most decorated players.

A top offensive threat, Braun was named the N.L. Rookie of the Year in 2008, and for his career, accumulated 1,628 hits, 1,002 runs, 972 RBI, and 297 home runs, alongside 207 stolen bases. His consistent play earned him six League All-Star appearances, including four consecutive starts from 2009 to 2012. He also excelled in the mid-summer classic, hitting a home run in the 2010 All-Star Game.  He worked hard to improve his defense and earned a Gold Glove award in 2017.

Braun’s status as a Hall of Famer is cemented by his value in the Post-Season. While his League Championship performance was inconsistent, he delivered significant power in the Division Series (9 HR in 39 games). He saved his best for the biggest stage, boasting a .912 career OPS and 5 home runs in 24 World Series games. His crowning achievement was leading the Tempe Tempers to victory in the 2019 World Series, where his dominant performance earned him the World Series Most Valuable Player award. A true superstar whose career totals and clutch heroics tell the story, Ryan Braun is unequivocally Hall of Fame worthy.
