The definition of a Draft and Develop Prospect is a player:
YOUR TEAM DRAFTED AND MAINTAINED THIS PROSPECT in a UN-Card status (5).
- At the end of this current MLB season, this prospect was called up & has appeared in a Major League game in 2023 & therefore the player is Carded in the upcoming MWBL season.
- Your team must have drafted this prospect and never traded during his time in Un-Card status (5).
- A Draft & Develop player still must maintain MLB Rookie Status (Under 130 AB or 50 IP – cumulative)
- You can use baseball-reference.com to check & verify if your player is in MLB rookie status.
- NOTE: It is your responsibility to determine if your Draft & Develop player meets the abovementioned requirements. If it is determined that your Draft & Develop player doesn’t qualify – The player will be dropped from your franchise and available in the Rule 5 player pool. Also, your first Rule 5 Draft Pick will still be moved to Round 4. So, check carefully!
