His dominance was recognized with multiple accolades, including the prestigious Rolaids Reliever of the Year award in both 2014 (Coconut Creek Crushers) and 2017 (Sacramento Capitals). He earned three League All-Star nods (2014, 2015, 2017), highlighted by an unforgettable performance in the 2015 All-Star Game, where he was named the Most Valuable Player. Across his two All-Star appearances, he was flawless, yielding 0 runs and 0 hits over 2.2 innings pitched.

Melancon’s value extended deeply into the Post-Season, particularly in the early rounds. He was lights-out in the Wild Card Round, pitching 8.2 scoreless innings across seven appearances (0.00 ERA).
