DUSTIN PEDROIA – HALL OF FAME BIO

Dustin Pedroia’s 12-season Mid-West Baseball League career—spent with the Topeka Talons, Tempe Tempers, Chicago Mobsters, and Long Beach Dirt Bags—is a testament to defensive excellence and solid offensive output, making him an undeniable candidate for the MWBL Hall of Fame.

Over his 1,553 regular-season games, Pedroia compiled a stellar .271 career batting average, registering 1,580 hits, 353 doubles, 126 home runs, and 154 stolen bases. His consistent production positioned him as one of the league’s premier second basemen for over a decade.

Pedroia was highly decorated defensively, earning three Gold Glove Awards in the National League with Topeka (2009, 2010) and one in the American League with Chicago (2015). His 2009 season in Topeka stands out, where he received the Gold Glove and a League All-Star reserve nod, hitting .317 with 215 hits and 28 stolen bases.

Pedroia’s true value lay in his role as a veteran anchor during high-stakes games. He was a steady presence in 47 total Post-Season contests, appearing across the Wild Card Round, Division Series, League Championship Series, and the World Series (2013). Though his offensive numbers dipped in October, his glove and competitive spirit were invaluable to championship contenders. A three-time Gold Glove winner and a leader on and off the field, Pedroia defined the ideal MWBL second baseman.
