DAVID PRICE – HALL OF FAME BIO

David Price spent his entire 14-season Mid-West Baseball League career with the Hollywood Werewolves, establishing himself as one of the most dominant left-handed pitchers of his generation. His Hall of Fame credentials are built on overwhelming regular-season excellence and a proven ability to deliver in the pressure of October.

Price’s elite status is cemented by his individual hardware, headlined by the prestigious 2013 American League Cy Young Award. He was named a League All-Star three times (starting the game in 2013 and posting 2.0 shutout innings), and he also secured an AL Gold Glove Award in 2016, showing off his defensive prowess.

Over his career, Price compiled staggering numbers, including 180 total wins and 2,215 strikeouts over 2,226.1 innings, finishing with a superb 2.92 ERA. His peak seasons were historically dominant; he won 22 games in both 2013 and 2016, and posted a career-best 1.85 ERA in 2016. A control artist, he had an elite career 2.2 BB/9.

Crucially, Price’s value shone in the post-season, where he made impactful appearances across the Wild Card Round, Division Series, League Championships, and the World Series. He was a perennial playoff performer, securing 5 wins in both the Division Series and the League Championships. He posted a key complete-game shutout in the 2013 Division Series and, most notably, pitched to an exceptional 2.45 ERA across his World Series appearances.

With a Cy Young Award, three All-Star selections, a Gold Glove, and over 2,200 career strikeouts, coupled with a remarkable history of clutch playoff pitching, David Price is unequivocally an MWBL Hall of Famer.
