BUFFALO & TEMPE IN BIG DEAL

In a major press conference today the Tempe Tempers were pleased to introduce their fixture in the outfield for years to come. They proudly introduce a player whom they just call “Junior”. None other than future Hall of famer Ken Griffey Jr.  In a deal that has been in the works for some time now, Tempe gave away a starting pitcher in Al Leiter, as well as Ricardo Rincon, Greg Vaughn, and Tony Gwynn. In exchange, the Tempers received “Junior” as well as Roberto Kelly, Matt Mieske, & Jack McDowell. Each GM, was happy about the deal, and said that it was in the best interest of their club to make such a big trade.

Tempe Receives: Ken Griffey Jr. Roberto Kelly, Matt Mieske, & Jack McDowell
