The 2024 Mid-West Baseball League All-Star Game was held on Saturday Night, November 9th, 2024 in the home of the Valdosta Bombers.

In the bottom of the third inning, the National League broke the deadlock. With runners on second and third, Jose Ramirez hit a crucial single to right field, driving in two runs and giving the National League a 2-0 lead. This hit not only put the National League ahead but also set the stage for Ramirez’s MVP performance.

Late Innings: American League’s Attempted Comeback

The American League struggled to find their rhythm against the National League’s bullpen. However, in the top of the ninth inning, they mounted a comeback attempt. Shohei Ohtani led off with a single, and Bryce Harper followed with a double down the right-field line, scoring Ohtani and cutting the deficit to 2-1. Despite the late rally, the American League fell just short as the National League’s defense held firm.

The National League emerged victorious with a final score of 2-1, narrowing their All-Star Game record to 16-12 behind the American League.
Jose Ramiírez, who went 2 for 2 with 2 RBIs, was named the All-Star Game Most Valuable Player for his outstanding performance.
