Late Innings: American League’s Attempted Comeback
The American League struggled to find their rhythm against the National League’s bullpen. However, in the top of the ninth inning, they mounted a comeback attempt. Shohei Ohtani led off with a single, and Bryce Harper followed with a double down the right-field line, scoring Ohtani and cutting the deficit to 2-1. Despite the late rally, the American League fell just short as the National League’s defense held firm.
