Triple Creek got to Dylan Cease with 5 hits, a homer and 4 walks but only managed 2 runs. But Selkirk got 5 runs in the first off Kevin Gausman as Salvador Perez hits 3 run homer. Corey Seager hits a 2 run triple off Cal Quantrill in the 1st for Triple Creek. But Shane Bieber gave up a sacfly to Adolis Garcia and a Salvador Perez homer to tie it 2-2 int he 5th, Seager off Jorge Lopez hit a homer in the 7th. | GAME #6 – Shane Bieber 15-7 (2.06) vs. Max Fried 21-3 (1.93)
Selkirk up three games to 2 over Triple creek. Selkirk was the heavy favourite going into the series. I have to apologize to Pat as my work schedule made playing over Zoom difficult – a movie company filming this week made my ability to stick a plan . We tried to set up a day and then I confused the play date, offered to make that time work but Pat made other plans. Pat made it clear he gave up on me so we went old school and just used micros. Max Fried was itchy allowed 9 hits (Lourdes Gurriel homer) in 5 innings but just 2 runs. Selkirk pen went the final 4 allowing two runs. Would 4 runs be enough for Shane Bieber and extend the series? Sadly no Bieber gave up 7 runs in 4.1 Frank Montas another 3 as Pete Alonso, Marcus Semien and Adolis Garcia homered. Selkirk 11 – Triple Creek 4 Win: Max Fried 1-0 (3.60) |
