STAT UPDATE – COLUMBUS UNSTOPPABLE BULLPEN
Two-headed monster? The Columbus Explorers have just that in the pen.
Jimmy Herget & Felix Bautista dare you to try and beat them.
In 63.1 IP Herget has a ridiculous 0.14 ERA, a 4-0 record with 19 saves, 0.59 WHIP, 66 K’s to go with 12 BB, and only 1, YES 1 earned run all season. This is spread out over 54 games. You can find his full stat and career line here:
Bautista isn’t too far behind with a 0.91 ERA, 4-2 record and 11 saves. His 7 earned runs on the year feel like a ton compared to Herget but don’t let that fool you, he still sports 78 K’s compared to 16 BB in 69.1 IP.
30 wins in which one of these two got the save, I can’t imagine any lineup wanting to go up against them in the 8th & 9th innings.
