Game #1: Spencer Strider goes the distance. Chicago’s bat’s are asleep. The fat man (Dan Vogelbach) blasts a 3-Run Home Run as the Bottle Rockets shut out the Mobsters.

Game #2: Today it is Framber Valdez who shuts out the Chicago team. KeBryan Hayes, Cedric Mullins, & Isiah Kiner-Falefa each have an RBI for the Bottle Rockets.

Game #3: Long-time former Mobster Marcus Stroman gets to face his old team for the first time in a new uniform. Stroman goes 7.1 Innings allowing only 2 Earned Runs in another Bottle Rockets victory. Chicago does score at least in this one.

Game #4: Chicago’s bats wake up some. The Mobsters knock out 10 hits & score 5 Runs. Tijuana faced Noah Syndergaard who pitches well in 6.2 Innings of work, but it’s Josh Hader who picks up the “W” in 1.1 Innings of work.

Game #5: BOOM! Chicago’s bats say “Hello” once again. 2 Home Runs by Yordan Alvarez & one by newly acquired Dylan Moore help Chicago pound out 14 Hits, along with 14 Runs as the Mobsters spank the Bottle Rockets in this one.

Game #6: Game One match-up Spencer Strider vs. Alex Manoah once again. Same story. Strider is spectacular & Manoah is so-so. Garrett Hampson has 2 RBIs for the Bottle Rockets. Erik Swanson closes the door in the 9th.

Summary: Chicago loses the series 4 games to 2. They also lost Jose Cisnero for 40 games (Now on the D.L.). Spencer Strider looks like a promising player for Pitcher of the Week, by going 2-0 with only 6 Hits & 2 Walks allowed with 22 Strikeouts.

Valdosta  Snappers @ Tempe  Tempers

Preview: Valdosta is now only one game behind Portland and Corktown for the final wild card spot. Could every team from the NL Central make the playoffs? Adam Wainwright is set to make his final two starts before heading to Selkirk. Can he become the 15th pitcher in MWBL history to reach 200 wins?
Game #1: Freeman doubled and then scored after two wild pitches from Toussaint in 1st. Riley rbi double tied it in the 3rd. Bouchard solo and Martinez two run shot put Tempe up 4-1. Riley two run homer made it a one run game. DeJong worked out of a bases loaded jam with no outs in the 7th. With two outs in the 9th, Miller singled in the tying run off Munoz. In the bottom of the 11th, Mateo walked and stole his third base of the game. Peralta then singled to right, but Acuna gunned Mateo at home. Bottom of the 12th, Freeman led off with a walk off homer.
Tempe 5-4 in 12 INN
W – Bass 4-2, L – Martinez 0-2
Game #2: Kwan drove in the first run of the game in the bottom of the 6th. Miller’s solo shot in 7th tied it and a Acuna rbi double put the snappers up 2-1. Peralta singled, stole second and then scored the tieing run on Freeman’s rbi single. In the 11th, the Snappers loaded the bases but Martinez got Andrus to ground out. Dejavu in the 12th? Tempe got a runner on and stole second. Peralta again then singled to right field and Acuna gunned the winning run at home again! In the bottom of the 13th, Ramirez doubled and Slater drove him in with two outs.

W – Martinez 5-0, L Foley 0-1
Game #3: All Realmuto in this one. He went 4 for 5 with two three run homers and nine total RBIs. Odor and Riley went deep for he Snappers, but it was after Tempe had a massive lead. Cruz was knocked around a bit, but he ultimately K’ed 10 of the 44 batters he faced for the complete game.

W – Cruz 3-0, L – Bundy 5-13
Game #4: Riley doubled off DeGrom in the 6th for the first run of the game. Sanchez pitched well for Valdosta, but he finally yielded a two run rbi single to Realmuto in the bottom of the 6th. Tempe added another run in the 7th and the pen locked down the final 3.1 innings.

W – Banks 1-0, L – Sanchez 7-10, S – Munoz #30
Game #5: empe knocked out Senze in the 3rd after scoring six runs led by a Mateo three run homer. Darvish pitched 8.1 strong innings.
Tempe 6-1 W – Darvish 19-4, L – Senz 6-14
Game #6: Wainwright started off shaky in the first when Acuna and Andrus each went deep, but he then pitched 6 scoreless innings. Tempe should have pulled him after the 7th, but they left him in hoping he could get a win. Andrus hit a bases clearing triple in the eighth with two outs that finished his day. Minter had a shaky ninth giving up a couple runs, but finally got the final out leaving runners at 3rd and 2nd.
Valdosta 5-3 W Toussaint 1-0, L – Wainwright 7-3, S – Minter #12
Summary: Tempe’s offense was quiet during Wainwright’s two starts, so he will have to wait another week to get win #200 and it will be a in a new uniform. This will be his 7th team in his career. He’ll most likely enter the Hall of Fame as a Mobster based on his career 90-24 and stunning 2.21 ERA in Chicago. He had 41 wins with Elyria and 39 with Tempe.
Tempe ultimately won 5 of 6, but it was a much tighter series as Valdosta was only a hit away from pulling out wins in game 1, 2, and 4. Riley seems to always remind Tempe they shouldn’t have traded him. Acuna will have Tempe’s vote for a gold glove after gunning the winning run at him in two consecutive extra inning games.

Southbend  Lynx @ Mesa  Solar Sox

Preview: Southbend tries to survive the 115 degree desert heat in a 6 game series vs. Mesa.
Summary: After taking the 1st three games Mesa forgets how to hit in the clutch and Southwest runs wild in winning the last 3 games. Southwest steals 10 bases in the series. Bichette was a monster, with 12 hits.

Detroit  Crime @ Coconut  Creek Crushers

Game #1: Detroit cruises to a 12-4 rout.
Game #2: Manaea outduels Snell in a 6-0 Detroit win.
Game #3: Nola gets two HRs in support as Detroit edges Coconut Creek 4-3.
Game #4: Wheeler dominates in a 4-1 Detroit win.
Game #5: Civale takes a shutout into the 7th only to see the game unravel. Detroit goes on to win 6-2.
Game #6: Bassitt outduels Small as Detroit wins the finale 2-1.
Summary: Detroit pulls off a 6-0 road sweep.

Baltimore  Comets @ Corktown  Cycle

Preview: Big series for both teams. Corktown is fighting to make the playoffs while Baltimore is fighting for the East title.

Walker, Raleigh, and Farmer leave the yard to give CIN game 1.
Game #2: VIR 4-3
Murphy’s 2-run homer gives VIR the win.
Game #3: CIN 2-0
Brebbia throws CG, 3-hit shutout. Choi and Santander provide the runs.
Game #4: VIR 8-1
A 7-run 1st highlighted by homers from Springer and Reynolds support Lodolo’s CG, 3-hitter with 12 K’s.
Game #5: CIN 7-2
Morel, Drury, and Farmer go deep and VIR just can’t seem to get hits at the right time.
Game #6: VIR 2-1
CIN outhits VIR 9-4 but Trejo’s 2-run double in the 4th holds up as Hernandez scatters 9 hits and Holmes gets his 29th save.
Summary: VIR and CIN split 3-3

Hollywood  Werewolves @ Fremont  Cannons

Preview: Fremont has fallen behind Cincinnati in the AL East race, while Hollywood looks to solidify their #1 seed in the AL.
Game #1: Clayton Kershaw gets it done with the CGSO, allowing three hits and striking out twelve. Aaron Judge reaches homer #40, one of three HR for Hollywood. Werewolves win 5-0.
Game #2: eoscar Hernandez’s two-run homer is part of a four-run seventh inning that leads to a Fremont victory. Carlos Rodon improves to 13-7 in the 5-2 Cannons victory.
Game #3: Shohei Ohtani‘s two-run homer in the 1st is all the Cannons need, as Walker Buehler and the Fremont pen limit Hollywood to just one run. Fremont wins 2-1
Game #4: Drew Rasmussen picks up his 12th win as Hollywood gets another 5-0 shutout win.
Game #5: t’s tough going again for the Fremont bats, though an Austin Hays HR in the eighth ends a 24-inning scoreless streak. Judge hits homer #41 to propel Hollywood to the 3-1 win.
Game #6: Hollywood takes a 6-1 lead, but Fremont scores three in the fifth inning, then another in the eighth to cut it to 6-5. A walk and steal by Jace Peterson puts the tying run at second, but Vladimir Guerrero Jr. flies out to the warning track to end the threat. Judge hits HR #42 and Clayton Kershaw improves to 15-2 in the 6-5 Hollywood win.
Summary: Hollywood takes the series 4-2 and the season series 9-3. Fremont’s pitching was solid, but Hollywood’s pitching was dominant, allowing just 13 runs (7 earned) over the 6 games.
Next up, Hollywood goes on the road to face a struggling Coconut Creek team, while Fremont travels to Cincinnati for a series that could decide the AL East.

Summary: Sacramento takes 4 of 6 from Selkirk.

Triple Creek  Patriots @ Portland  Lumber Jax

Summary: Triple Creek was manhandled by the Jax staff as they could only muster 23 hits for the series. Patriots scored 1 run 4 times and were shutout once. Portland takes 5 of 6.

Long Beach  Dirt Bags @ Yucaipa  Road Runners

Preview: Road Runners come in ready to devastate Dirt Bags, Greinke attempting to gain ground on CC for league wins.
Game #1: Greinke pitched well, 6 shut out innings, upgraded and comes into 7th ready to seal the win.
Grienke allowed 2 runners and manager made a trup to the mound, Grienke talked the manager out of releif. Grienke then gave up a 3 run shot to Downs.
Dirt Bags 3-2 win
Game #2: Dirt Bags 4-2 on Reyes 3 run shot.
Game #3: Dirt Bags 3-2 anther HR from Reyes.
Game #4: Bradish pitched well, taking a 2-1 lead into the 9th
Dirt Bags scores 2 to take the lead, Yuc scores 1 to tie, before DB’s score 1 in the 11th for the win.
Game #5: Velasquez pitches well enough for a 2-1 win.
Game #6: YUC wins a second game of the series, a summer miracle and Greinke picks up a win (should have been his second win of the series 7-3
Summary: Dirt Bags win seies 4-2.

Dallas  Cougars @ Yonge Street  Stalkers

Summary: Unnecessary beanings dotted the series. No long term inj’s, just enough to annoy. Anyhow, Dallas won game 1 late, then lost the next 5.

Bethesda  Bandicoots @ Prairie  Falcons

Summary:  A back and forth, Win, Loss, Win, Loss, Win, Loss is how this one went with the end results – someone kissing their sister.
