2022 MWBL AWARDS

World Series Champion Fremont Cannons had the American League Most Valuable Player as Shohei Ohtani took home the hardware. Fernando Tatis Jr. of the Rosemere Renegades took home the National League’s Most Valuable Player for the 2nd year in a row.
Corbin Burnes of the Southwest Detroit Fighting Chihuahuas goes all in and wins the American League, Cy Young award, his first. Long Beach’s Zack Wheeler is the man in the National League as Wheeler wins 22 Games, and loses only 3, with a 2.18 ERA.
Coconut Creek has this year’s American League Rookie of the Year, as Chris Flexen – flexes his muscles winning 17 games with a 2.55 ERA. Bobby Dalbec wins Corktown’s 2nd Rookie of the Year in a row Award, knocking out 32 Home Runs & knocking in 79 RBIs in the National League.
Drew Steckenrider was unreal for the Southbend Lynx winning the American League Rolaids Reliever of the Year (3-0 with 52 Saves & a 1.50 ERA) & the Jersey Nor’easters Josh Hader was just as dominant in the National League (4-0 44 Saves, 1.38 ERA). Two fine lockdown closers to say the least.
Only one Manager of the Year Award comes from World Series Franchises as Casey Hoch of the Fremont Cannons blows away the competition with a 40-point win. Sacramento Capitals manager George Skiles wins his 7th Manager of the Year in the National League.
