Nominees:

1. Casey Hoch – Fremont Cannons (1842 – 1950 – .486%) – 24 Years of Service Time
(4 nominations)

    A. My Nomination is Casey Hoch

    B. I officially nominate Casey Hoch

    C. Casey Hoch.  The years of league service combined with the work and effort put in for the Hall of Fame makes this nomination a no-brainer.  Finally getting over that World Series hump in 2022 completes the resume!

    D. I nominate Casey Hoch of Fremont. In addition to his longtime excellent franchise management, he provides valuable assistance in running and maintaining the league and its features. His dealings in trade talks have always been fair and equitable. Also, he is active and enthusiastic about transactions and draft day.

2. Sergio Ivone – Detroit Crime (2151 – 2125 – .503%) – 27 Years of Service Time
(3 nominations)

    A. I would like to nominate Sergio Ivone of the Detroit Crime…27 years as MWBL manager…Career .503 winning percentage…  Three-time World Series participant and World Series champion…6 seasons 100+ wins with a four-year run 2016-2019 record of 444-204 (.685 winning %).

    B. One-time WS winner…he has hit on many drafts: Bryce Harper, Manny Machado, & Stephen Strasburg,..He is strong in one of the tougher divisions.

    C. I’d like to submit Sergio Ivone for the Hall of Fame! To be in the league for 27 years and have an above .500 record is truly remarkable!

3. Barry Abrams – Mesa Solar Sox (645 – 717 – .474%) – 9 Years of Service Time
(1 nomination)

    A. I would like to nominate Barry Abrams for induction into the MWBL Hall of Fame.

The statement on the webpage is far better than anything I could put together, and it is a shame that we have lost him as a person and player. I did not get to spend a lot of time with Barry in the league, but I know that he was always kind and extremely knowledgeable.
I hope that the MWBL will give proper attention to this request.

4. Brian Devine – Southbend Lynx (1119 – 1214 – .480%) – 15 Years of Service Time
(1 nomination)

    A. My nomination is for Brian Devine of the Southbend Lynx. His .480% career record is solid, and in his 15 years he had 5 teams with 100+ wins; unfortunately, being in a division with Hollywood meant only one of those was a division championship. Among his draft successes were a 5’6” second-baseman Jose Altuve, Bo Bichette, & Kyle Tucker. As the bio states, he loved to talk, and I appreciated his love of the game along with his willingness to share his knowledge of card-based tactics as one of the old guards of APBA with someone like me who was only familiar with BBW.
