On the league leader boards they’re 6th in batting average at .229, 4th in slugging, and 4th in steals with 51.For the Mobsters of Chicago they come into this series in 1st place in the AL Central two games ahead of the Tijuana Bottle Rockets. Their road record is 28 and 5. On the league leader boards Chicago is first in batting at .281, 3rd in homers with 88, leading in runs scored, on top in slugging, leading in stolen bases with 71, leading in on base percentage, and first in ERA at 2.41.
Game #1:	Pedroia went 3 for 5 with 2 RBI for Chicago and 4 other Mobsters drove home a run. Meanwhile the Cougars could only manage 2 hits against Wainwright and Rosenthal before making the game look close in the 9th with 5 hits and three runs.Chicago 6, Dallas 4
Game #2:	Chase Anderson gets his first win of the season for Dallas helped by a big bottom of the first when the Cougars scored 6 runs. Polanco and Doumit hit home runs for Dallas. For Doumit it seems like it’s feast or famine for him as 18 of his 34 hits on the season have been doubles or homers (9 each).Dallas 10, Chicago 8
Game #3:	The Chicago offense continues to pummel their opponents into submission with a 17 hit attack including 7 extra base hits as they cruise to victory.Chicago 8, Dallas 4
Game #4:	Felix Hernandez improves to 15-1 as he allows only 2 hits through 8 innings while striking out 7. The Mobsters continue mashing as they had 16 hits in this one along with 7 extra base hits.Chicago 9, Dallas 0
Game #5:	Dallas manages to hold Chicago to only 12 hits in this one. With a tired bullpen Lackey pitches a complete game. He had a very good game until he gave up three runs in the 9th on a homer, double, and sac fly.Chicago 6, Dallas 3
Game #6:	Keuchel gets back to .500 for Dallas at 7-7 helped by a three run homer by Jedd Gyorko breaking a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the 8th. Keuchel and Hawkins hold Chicago to just 4 hits.Dallas 5, Chicago 2

Grand Haven Gators @ Bethesda Bandicoots.
Game #1:	Bethesda has one inning of offense but it is enough as they take it 3-1. Jon Jay (3) homered for Bethesda. WIN-T.Ross (4-5); SV-Broxton (14); LOSS-Fister (5-5).
Game #2:	Maximum efficiency for Grand Haven as they score seven times on just seven hits and two walks to take it 7-4. Bethesda once again has just one inning in the game – a 4-run 1st inning that made us stupidly optimistic we’d win. No homers in this one. WIN-Morton (9-5); SV-J.Smith (17); LOSS-Cobb (6-4)
Game #3:	Snoozefest with Bethesda coming out on top 1-0. WIN-Odorizzi (3-4); SV-Broxton (15); LOSS-C.Wilson (5-7)
Game #4:	David Peralta’s two-run shot in the 5th is the difference as the offenses continue to struggle with a total of nine hits between the teams, but Bethesda takes the game 3-1. HR-D.Peralta (4). WIN-A.Wood (7-4); SV-Broxton (16); LOSS-Santana (5-9)
Game #5:	Bethesda scores five times in the first three innings and then goes on cruise control and hangs on for a 5-2 win. A total of 12 hits for the teams in this one … go crazy. HR-A.Gonzalez (17), Rollins (14); WIN-S.Gray (8-4); Sv-Outman (2); LOSS-AJ Burnett (3-6)
Game #6:	Bethesda provides hometown fans with one of the most disgusting exhibitions of electronic fielding as they f-ug up five times and hand Grand Haven a 6-4 win in 12 innings. Somewhat strangely, the screwups came off the hands of some of the teams best defenders with Lorenzo Cain and Marwin Gonzalez each getting two errors and Anthony Rendon tossing in one of his own. Garret Jones’s two-run homer in the 12th – Grand Haven’s first in the series – off sadsack reliever Joba Chamberlain gave the go-ahead runs. HR-G.Jones (7); Rollins (15).WIN-Walden (2-1); SV-J.Smith (18); LOSS-Chamberlain (2-6).
Game #7:	An offensive explosion by both teams with each getting nine hits, but Grand Haven made theirs matter winning easily 5-1. Niblling little puke Erick Aybar had three hits for Grand Haven. WIN-C.Morton (10-5); SV-J.Smith (19); LOSS-Cobb (6-5)
Series Summary	Morton wins two and Cobb loses two (still better than TJ surgery I guess) as Bethesda edges Grand Haven 4-3 in the series.

Fremont Cannons @ Traverse City Crusaders
Series Preview	The A.L. East last place Fremont Cannons (23-55) come to Traverse City to play the Crusaders (32-46). Crusaders are happy to improve their record against a weaker record team, any day of the week — will it spell on to success?
Game #1:	FREMONT 5, TRAVERSE CITY 1 Cannons’ Cosart does not allow a hit until late 5th Inning, allows solo HR to Yonder Alonso in bottom of 7th. David Phelps had 9 K’s in 6.1 innings in losing cause for T.C.Khris Davis – HR for Fremont.
Game #2:	FREMONT 4, TRAVERSE CITY 2 (11 Inn) All the runs came in the 11th — Todd Frazier hit a two-run HR in an attempt to have T.C. catch Fremont. Starters Jacob deGrom (T.C.) and Juan Nicasio (FRE) pitched nine scoreless innings for their teams; Nicasio had 10 K’s.
Game #3:	TRAVERSE CITY 7, FREMONT 1 Kevin Kiermaier, first game back from injury, hits for the cycle! He went 4-for-5, with 3 runs & 3 RBI for the Crusaders; The team had 12 hits. Carlos Gomez collects 2 of Fremont’s 5 hits, including his 14th HR of the season.Yovani Gallardo goes 8 strong innings, allowing only 4 hits & the solo HR to Gomez, with 8 K’s — improving record to 8-6, 3.51 ERA.
Game #4:	FREMONT 7, TRAVERSE CITY 4 Fremont jumps all over Trevor Bauer early, as Crusaders may have to give him a break; falls to 7-6 with 6.23 ERA. The T.C. bullpen do their best (1 ER allowed in 6 innings) to try & get the Crusaders back in this one.
Game #5:	FREMONT 2, TRAVERSE CITY 0 Mark Buerhle pitched a two-hit shutout with 10 K’s against his former team. David Phelps was once again good in a losing effort.
Game #6:	FREMONT 3, TRAVERSE CITY 2 Dayan Viciedo’s three-run HR off Cesar Ramos in the 6th, is the difference maker.
Series Summary	The Crusaders who were briefly looking up (7-3 in their previous 10), take a cannonball to the stomach, losing series 5-1. They are 33-51 at the break, our goal at this point? — Don’t lose 100 games.

Sacramento Capitals @ Jersey Nor’easters
Series Preview	Sacramento in a close race for the #1 draft pick comes to Jersey in an important series for both teams.
Game #1:	Leonys Martin and Lucas Duda homer in the 1st inning and Jersey withstands a late inning comeback by the Capitals to win 6-5.
Game #2:	It’s all Jersey in a 8-0 whitewashing. Sacramento gets only 2 hits. Bad news for the Nor’easters as starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks goes down for 36 games…..ouch!
Game #3:	Lucas Duda homers in the 4th inning in what was the game winning hit as Jersey shuts out the Capitals for the second consecutive game 2-0. Sacramento did improve their hit total from 2 to 4. Wily Peralta pitches the complete game shutout for the Nor’easters.
Game #4:	Can the Nor’easters make it 3 shutouts in a row…you betcha they can as Samardzija pitches a 3-hitter winning 3-0. Sacramento regresses from 4 hits to 3 hits in this game making their total number of hits in the 3 shutouts 9.
Game #5:	Jersey’s Jose Quintana took a shutout into the 5th inning but the string of scoreless innings ended here as the Capitals scratched out a single run. It was the only run Sacramento scored and the Nor’easters win 7-1.
Game #6:	It looked like a 6 game sweep coming for Jersey as Lucas Duda homers in the first to take a quick 2-0 lead. Not to be, Dan Haren pitches good enough for the Capitals backed by Geo Springer’s 3-run homer and Sacramento wins the last game 5-3.
Series Summary	Jersey take the series 5-1 and will stay in first place for at least another week.

New York Outlaws @ Columbus Explorers
Series Preview	New York Outlaws (38-38, 2nd NLE) visit Columbus (30-47, 4th NLC) for 7 games – that due to a 17 inning game turns into an 8 game matchup (well 8 games in terms of length) – and what a series. Jekyll and Hyde, Tale of Two Cities – you name it, it was like Night and Day.
Game #1:	NYO 5-9-1 WP Petit (3-3) S McFarland (1)COL 1-4-2 LP Overholtzer (2-2) Papi smacks 2 HRs (20,21), Parra hits a solo shot (5) as Outlaws dominate on Petit 4 hit pitching.
Game #2:	NYO 8-12-1 WP Kuroda (5-7) S Perkins (2)COL 6-12-1 LP Happ (4-5) Papi continues his bid for player of the week as he smacks 2 more HRs (22, 23) – both solo shots. Ramirez and Parra with 3 hits each as Outlaw bats continue to dominate. Uribe with 3 rbis. Explorer bats try to keep pace. Homeruns from Dunn (12) and Blackmon (8, 9) are not enough.
Game #3:	NYO 10-16-0 WP McFarland (1-0), S Ramirez (10)COL 6-10-2 LP Greene (1-6) The Papi show roles on as he doubles and homers (23). His 5th homer of the series. Utley (6) and Vogt (5) also take one over the wall as the 16 hits barrage carries the day. Peavy however, could not last 5 innings (4.1) as he’s hammered for 8 hits and 5 runs (including a Dunn HR, #13, grand slam). But the bullpen silences the Explorers as the Outlaw offense comes back.
Game #4:	NYO 7-10-1 WP Hamels (9-3)COL 1-10-1 LP Milone (4-6) Outlaws get 1 in the 1st and 3 in the 3rd and 5rh. No Papi HRs, but he does get 2 hits (including a double) and scores twice. Pagan (2) homers among his 3 hits. Hamels is the show going 6 innings, 6 hits and 1 unearned run.
Game #5:	17 inning game!NYO 1-11-2 LP Rodney (2-2) (BS # 3 and 5.2 ip)COL 2- 7-0 WP Belisario (4-1)Scores goes to the 12th tied at 0-0, Tepesch goes 8 innings, 6 hits, Harang goes 7 innings, 1 hit and is lifted for a PH. Herrera PH double in 12th gets Outlaws the lead at 1-0. But Explorers Parlay a Ramirez error into the tying run. Then in the 17th with 2 outs PH Nieto singles to drive in the winner.
Game #6:	NYO 0- 4-3 LP Petit (3-4)COL 11-19-0 WP Oberholtzer (3-2) 19 hits (might be an Explorer record), CG shutout from Oberholtzer unexpected but the bullpen really needed it. Petit lasted 2.1 innings (9 hits) and Wandy R gave up the last 10 hits in 5.2 innings of relief as the tired pen was rested. Lough 3 hits, homer #1, Dunn 3 rbis and a triple! Gordon injured in 1st and out for 4 days – all-star break will help.
Game #7:	NYO 0-7-2 LP Kuroda (5-8)COL 4-8-0 WP Happ (5-5) Explorers get another CG shutout from a starter! Blackmon 2 rbis in a 4 run 2nd and that was all the scoring.
Series Summary	How can a team score 30 runs (7.5/game) in the first 4 games and then 1 in the last 3 (or 4 equivalent) games? But that’s what happened as the Outlaws drop the last 3, but still take the series 4-3. Did their bats explode and turn to dust – or did Cy Young resurrect and put on an Explorer uniform?Well – New York will have a chance to turn it around as Columbus travels there after the all-star break.

Game #1:	MCM 2 – CCC 1 WP: Bonilla LP: Jimenez (CG) SV: Ramos HR: TroutTight pitchers duel is won on Trout’s solo shot in the 8th. Jimenez had 10 Ks in the tough luck loss. CCC’s only run came on a bases-loaded HBP.
Game #2:	CCC 1 – MCM 0 WP: May LP: Buchanan (CG) SV: H. Rondon HR: Betts Betts leads off the game with a HR for the only run of the game. Second straight day the losing pitcher went all the way. Both SPs recorded 9 Ks.
Game #3:	MCM 2 – CCC 0 WP: Volquez (CG) LP: Hahn HR: noneTwo-run 2nd inning is all Volquez needed, allowing only one hit and striking out 9.
Game #4:	CCC 7 – MCM 2 WP: Feldman LP: Leake SV: H. Rondon HR: noneCCC puts up 7 in the 6th inning, with Danks’s bases-loaded double the big hit.
Game #5:	MCM 3 – CCC 2 WP: Mendez LP: Garza SV: Ramos HR: S. PerezMCM came back to tie twice before taking the lead for good on Loney’s 7th inning double that CCC’s OF played into a Little League home run.
Game #6:	CCC 5 – MCM 3 WP: Medina LP: Ramos SV: H. Rondon HR: TroutRamos could not get his third save of the series, giving up three runs in the ninth on doubles by Grichuk and Napoli. Napoli had 3 RBI for the game.
Series Summary	Close, pitching-dominated series ends up in a 3-3 split.

Valdosta Snappers @ Triple Creek Patriots
Series Preview	Record wise these two teams were almost equal at the series start. Triple Creek has been struggling at home all year, is this the series they put something together?
Game #1:	Swarzak vs Gonzalez Gonzalez mans the all you can eat straight-ball buffet and the Snappers feast as 3 Valdosta’s 8 hits are bombs. Swarzak scatters 6 singles over 6.1 and the strong visiting pen allows no base runners the final 2.2.VS 5 TCP 2
Game #2:	Teheran vs. Vargas Vargas serves up two long balls and Teheran goes 8 strong allowing no earned runs. Teams combine for 5 errors. Infante (2-4 w/ a dinger) and Paramelee (3-run shot) lead the Snappers to victory.VS 5 TCP 3
Game #3:	Hughes vs. Buchholz Patriot staff keeps the ball in the park today but the Snapper bullpen just out pitched the home squad. Teams combine for 25 hits and only the 24 stranded runners saved it from being ugly.VS 6 TCP 4
Game #4:	Hudson vs. De La Rosa Would the off day allow the Partiot’s bats to recharge enough to hit one out of the park? No. Patriot fans witness another game where they are outhit and outscored. Snapper pen toss 3 more perfect innings. Rodriguez 3-5 w/ 1 homer and 3 rbi for Valdosta.VS 4 TCP 2
Game #5:	McHugh vs. Gausman Uphill battle today against a tough visting hurler. Gausman goes 7 strong allowing 2 runs but McHugh matches him. It comes down to the bullpen and Leone and Jennings are perfect today while Uehara is roughed up allowing 3 hits and 3 runs over 1 inning. Patriots’ hit a homer finally!VS 2 TCP 5
Game #6:	Swarzak vs. Gonzalez Swarzak is hit early and often allowing 11 hits and 5 runs over 5 IP. Three different Patriots collect 3 hits as they tally 13 base-knocks. Reynolds hits a 2-run shot in the 7th to get the Snappers within 2 but that’s as close as they’ll get.VS 5 TCP 7
Series Summary	Valdosta heads out of town easily taking taking 4 of 6 climbing to .500. Serious power outage continues to plague Triple Creek bats. Add in the team ERA of nearly 4 and the second half will be a Joe vs the Volcano type trudge.
