Tijuana Bottle Rockets @ Dallas Cougars
Series Summary	Lots of close games, but Dallas only manages to win once. Tijuana takes series 6 games to one.

Columbus Explorers @ Bethesda Bandicoots
Series Preview	Columbus (24-40) at Bethesda (32-33)
Game #1:	Columbus takes the opener 3-1 with Bethesda unable to string any of their hits together against Tommy Milone (3-4) and Company. Dee Gordon revs up to quickly become one of my least favorite players to play against as he goes 1/3 with a run and two steals. Charlie Blackmon pokes out his 6th homer of the year for Columbus. Alex Wood (4-4) is ineffective with five hits allowed and three runs and no Ks in five innings. Andrew Lambo was awesome in left field committing two errors. Sweet.
Game #2:	Bethesda scores twice in the 7th to come from behind for a 5-4 win to even the series. Columbus had three unearned runs on two errors by Logan Watkins who was called up out of the shitheap before the series. Sonny Gray (7-4) was 2/2 at the plate and got the win with Jonathan Broxton picking up his 10th save. Sam Lecure (0-4) got tagged with the loss by giving up the winning run after he walked all three batters he faced to load the bases and then Michael Dunn came in and walked Andre Ethier for the 5th Bethesda run. Resident pain-in-the-ass Dee Gordon was relatively quiet in the game with 1/5 a run scored and one steal.
Game #3:	The Dee Gordon show came through with a homer. triple, and two RBIs including the game-winner in the top of the 9th to give Columbus a 6-5 win. Ronald Belisario (2-1) got the win with a scoreless inning of relief with Anthony Varvarro getting save #10 by doing the same. Conor Gillaspie wasted a nice 5/5 effort with three singles, a double and his 6th homer of the year. He also drove in two runs. Teammate Jimmy Rollins clubbed his 10th homer in a losing effort. Joba Chamberlain (2-4) gave up a couple of hits and the winning run to get smacked with the L.
Game #4:	Bethesda capitalized on a three-error 4th inning to score four times and coast past Columbus 8-2 to even the series once again. All of the errors were of the spectacular variety – Ben Revere overthrew the cutoff man, the mascot, the ballboy and half the scorekeepers to bring two runs in; Alejandro de Aza chose to try to catch the ball with the outside of his glove and his eyes closed for another run; and pitcher Josh Tomlin got into the act by covering first nicely but then dropping the ball. Jimmy Rollins (11) homered again for Bethesda and was a perfect 3/3 with three runs driven in. Dee Gordon had steal number 30 and Ben Revere 31 for Columbus. Revere was 3/4 in the game with a triple and both RBIs. Alex Cobb (5-3) gave up two runs on five hits and a walk in six innings to get the win. Tomlin (2-3) got stuck with the loss after giving up five runs (one earned) in five innings of six-hit ball.
Game #5:	Jake Odorizzi’s streak of craptastic homefield pitching continued as he was bombarded by Columbus for 11 hits in just five innings, watching impotently as the Explorers pounded Bethesda but good 10-2. Charlie Blackmon led the pounding with a 4/4 game including two doubles. He scored three times and drove in one with Washington Nationals teammates Ryan Zimmerman and Ian Desmond each getting three hits. Zimmerman hit his 3rd homer of the season and was joined by Matt Carpenter with his 6th. It was Bethesda’s turn to commit three errors in this alternating sloppy series including the 3rd error of the series by both Logan Watkins and Andrew Lambo. Rusty or what????
Game #6:	Adrian Gonzalez’s bat finally came to life as he had three hits including a homer, driving in three runs in a series-splitting 8-3 Bethesda win. It was Gonzalez’s 14th homer of the season. The Columbus track team didn’t let the score dampen their spirits as they stole four bases off hapless Bethesda catcher Josh Thole – Dee Gordon (31), Matt Carpenter (3), Charlie Blackmon (13), and Ian Desmond (16). On a bit of a downer note Travis Snider grounded into two double plays for Bethesda.
Series Summary	Nothing pretty about this one with both teams showing flashes of talent but just as many flashes of incompetence. 3-3 split.

Detroit Crime @ Traverse City Crusaders
Series Preview	Detroit (39-27) visits Traverse City (23-42)
Game #1:	TRAVERSE CITY 6, DETROIT 3 Gallardo (T.C.) gets his 6th win.
Game #2:	DETROIT 6, TRAVERSE CITY 3 Wheeler earns 4th win, 6 K’s, 4 H & 2 ER in 7.1 innings. HR’s by Ryan Howard and Jhonny Peralta for DET, HR’s for Drew Stubbs and Kevin Kiermaier in T.C.Danny Santana injured for 25 games/John McDonald injured for 2 games.
Game #3:	TRAVERSE CITY 3, DETROIT 2 Drew Stubbs hits his 10th HR of the season already. Zach Britton gets the loss for Detroit, Bumgarner had 6 K’s, 2 ER’s & 5 hits allowed in 7.1 innings. Drew VerHagen credited with no-decision, while collecting 5 K’s, allowing 4 hits and an earned run in 5 innings. Jeanmar Gomez gets his first win (1-4 for the season).
Game #4:	TRAVERSE CITY 2, DETROIT 1 David Phelps goes 6 innings, allowing only 3 hits, ER, while fanning nine! Luke Gregerson collects Save #12. Jhonny Peralta hit his 12th HR for Detroit in losing effort. Brian Dozier collects HR #10 for T.C.
Game #5:	TRAVERSE CITY 2, DETROIT 1 Jacob deGrom gets his 3rd win (3-4, 3.44 ERA) allowing 4 hits, 3 walks, and an earned run in 7 innings. Scott Kazmir pitches strong in loss to T.C., with 9 K’s & 2 ER’s in 6.2 innings.
Game #6:	DETROIT 2, TRAVERSE CITY 0 The Crusaders had to rest a number of guys, and have Yovani Gallardo go deep to preserve the much-used bullpen. T.C. could only manage 4 hits all game — only 2 against Stephen Strasburg through 7 shutout innings, that produced 8 K’s. The former Crusader Joaquin Benoit recorded his 10th Save.Yasmani Grandal hit his 4th HR of the season.
Series Summary	The Traverse City Crusaders took 4 of 6, holding very slim leads in all their wins.

Sacramento Capitals @ Selkirk Steelers
Series Preview	Sacramento visits Selkirk. Sacramento is in the middle of a rebuild, as are the Steelers. Selkirks pitching is stronger but the Capitals have a better offense.
Game #1:	Kyle Gibson was on pitching a complete game shutout allowing just 5 hits. Selkirk 4 Sac 0
Game #2:	Marisnik and Dickerson homer as Ross pitches a gem. Sac 4 Sel 0
Game #3:	The game started off with a nightmare as Alvarez the Selkirk ace goes down for 3 weeks without throwing a pitch,. McAllister was asked to go long and did manage 5 rocking innings allowing 4 runs. But it was enough for the win as Selkirk bats Miller and McLouth homers hammered Ross and Scheppers. SEL 9 SAC 4
Game #4:	Adams and Sanchez homered and Miller got 2 triples as Selkirk continues to hammer the ball. Morosco and Singleton took Hammel deep but it wasn’t enough. Sel 10 Sac 5
Game #5:	Springer homered and League fell apart in the 9th as Sac wins 5-3
Game #6:	Soria blows the save costing Gibson the win but the Selkirk bats came through off Tazawa for 3 runs in the 8th. Sel 6 Sac 3 Peter Bourjos hit a homer and drove in 5 steelers.
Series Summary	Selkirk really outplayed Sacramento as Pujols never did a thing all series. In the end Selkirk won 4 of the 6 as Miller had a great series.

Jersey Nor’easters @ Valdosta Snappers
Series Preview	Valdosta plays host to Jersey.
Game #1:	Jersey 5-1 (17 Innings). Nor’Easters outlast the Snappers in 17 making a loser of Guerra (0-1).
Game #2:	Jersey 8-0. Chris Young with a NO HITTER. Jay Bruce homered twice to help propel the offense.
Game #3:	Valdosta 12-2. The Snappers offense wakes up for a change.
Game #4:	Valdosta 3-2. Snappers even the series as they slip past the Nor’Easters on a Mark Reynolds HR (9).
Game #5:	Jersey 2-0. Ryu (3-3) with the shutout as the Snappers offense go back into their shell.
Game #6:	Jersey 3-0. Quintana (3-3) takes his turn with another shutout for Jersey.
Game #7:	Jersey 5-1. Young (4-4) wins again but Escobar and Gregorius go down with injuries.
Series Summary	Jersey shuts down the Snappers and take 5 of 7, highlighted by Young’s no hitter.

Manhattan Project @ Coconut Creek Crushers
Series Preview	Will need luck to win any of these games.
Game #1:	All Manhattan in a 9-2 laugher.
Game #2:	CCC leads 4-2 after 7. The MAN offense then goes nuts and puts up 11 runs over the final 2 innings to easily win 13-4.
Game #3:	Simon and Hahn in a pitching duel. MAN wins 2-1.
Game #4:	Feldman and Duffy in another pitching duel.Game goes extras tied 2-2. MAN puts up 3 in the 11th and CCC can only counter with 1. MAN wins 5-3.
Game #5:	All Smyly for MAN as he K’s 12 in a 3-1 win.
Game #6:	Tanaka and Jimenez are tough and take the game to extras tied 1-1. This time however, CCC scores in the 11th to win 2-1 and avoid the sweep.
Series Summary	Manhattan takes 5 of 6.

Iron City Yinzers @ Grand Haven Gators

Series Preview	Triple Creek Patriots visited the Tempe Tempers for a seven game series
Series Summary	The Patriots scored first in 5 of 7 games but Tempe still finished the series 5-2. The Temper’s offense was able to out slug the Patriots and win two one run games (6-5 and 10-9) that were the keys to the series.

Series Preview	Two teams at opposite ends of the standings.
Game #1:	Aroldis Chapman gives up two 9th inning homers, and Ryan Rua knocks in the winner in the 15th. Fremont 4-3
Game #2:	Chicago holds Fremont to 3 hist as Sale gets the win to go to 9-2. Morneau hits his 15th homer, collecting it against his old team. Chicago 6-0
Game #3:	Identical score as Wainwright gets the CGSO 6-0 to go to 10-3. Three hits again by Fremont.
Game #4:	Fremont beats up on Beckett to bounce back in the series with a 7-3 win.
Game #5:	Fremont scores once in the eighth, but it’s not enough as Chicago wins 5-3.
Game #6:	Chicago wins 7-5 despite Carlos Martinez giving up 3 HR.
Game #7:	Chicago takes the finale 7-3 to as King Felix moves to 14-1.
