Series Preview	Both franchises sitting in 2nd place, Pittsburgh in the East & Chicago in the Central face off for a six game set in the Windy City.
Game #1:	In a spot start Michael Wacha (1-1 1.82) picks up his 1st Mid-West Baseball League win. Adam Dunn is 2 for 3 with a Home Run & 3 RBI’s. James Loney goes 4 for 4. Final Score: Chicago 9 – Pittsburgh 2
Game #2:	Josh Beckett gets a spot start for Chicago & Daren Haren goes for the Lumber CoMANany of Pittsburgh. Neither are involved in the decision. This game belonged to Billy Hamilton, who enters the game as a Pinch Hitter in the top of the 7th – Hamilton delivers 3 RBI’s, 2 Hits, steals 3 bases, including first, second & third all in the 10th inning to score the winning run. Final Score: Pittsburgh 6 – Chicago 5
Game #3:	Felix Hernandez (12-8 3.14) out duels Justin Verlander (9-6 2.45). Adam Dunn Homers and has 3 hits for Chicago. Aroldis Chapman picks up his 26th save with a 1-2-3 9th, including 2 Strikeouts. Final Score: Chicago 4 – Pittsburgh 2
Game #4:	Felix Dubront (8-6 4.62) doesn’t get out of the 2nd inning for Pittsburgh, allowing 5 runs (all Earned). Andrew McCutchen goes 2 for 4 with 4 RBI’s for Chicago. C.C. Sabathia (5-3 3.71) picks up the win, Chapman with his 27th save to close it out. Final Score: Chicago 8 – Pittsburgh 6
Game #5:	Anibal Sanchez (13-3 1.46) goes 7.2 innings, while striking out 13 Mobsters. Adam Wainwright gives up 5 hits going the distance but Pittsburgh gets 1 RBI from Adam Lind to win the game. Final Score: Pittsburgh 1 – Chicago 0
Game #6:	Tyson Ross (7-10 2.93) who finished Game #5 for Pittsburgh, starts Game #6 of the Series. Ross pitches well, but Chris Sale (10-9 3.15) was better for Chicago. Buster Posey & Adam Dunn both Homer for the Mobsters. Final Score: Chicago 7 – Pittsburgh 2
Series Summary	Chicago takes the series 4 games to 2. Rumblings around even though Chicago traded away a starting pitcher, they still believe they are in the playoff hunt.

Columbus Explorers @ Clovis Wheat Kings
Series Preview	Columbus Explorers come to Clovis for a little bit of California sunshine. Explorers have hit a rough patch with 5 straight losses and first place TeMANe is just a distant memory now with a 22 game lead. Lost Clovis GM Rick Cooper was found wandering around a Mexican casino muttering something about Mark Buehrle in a margarita induced stupor Thursday night. Cooper’s family managed to hustle him back to the States just steps ahead of the Federales. There has been no word on any league penalty for missing games as of yet.
Game #1:	Clovis 3 – Columbus 2Cashner picks up his 10th win with 7 solid giving up only one run. Harrell throws 5 workmanlike innings but gives up three to get tagged with the loss. Murphy piles up three hits, Belt chips in with a pair to lead the Wheat Kings.
Game #2:	Clovis 4 – Columbus 0AJ Griffin is the story today with a complete game one hit shutout. Griffin iMANroves to 11-4 on the year. Castro homered to lead the Wheat King offense while Tepesch was the hard luck loser for Columbus. Explorers have now dropped 7 straight.
Game #3:	Clovis 5 – Columbus 1Explorers losing streak continues as they drop a 5-1 decision. Gonzalez evened his record at 9-9 while Mathis had a pair of hits including his first triple of the year to lead Clovis. Happ was the hapless loser for Columbus despite 6 good innings in which he only surrendered 2 runs.
Game #4:	Clovis 8 – Columbus 1Things are getting worse for Columbus which drops ninth straight game.Harvey throws 6 strong innings for his 12th win and Reyes rips a three run homer to go along with 5 RBI and 3 hits to lead the Wheat Kings offense.
Game #5:	Clovis 3 – Columbus 2 Explorers hang tough but it is not enough to stop the steak which has now run up to 10 straight games.Columbus scored 2 in the first off Vogelsong on a Zimmerman double and an Avila single but Clovis came back in the third with a three spot behind an RBI single by Belt and a two run double from Murphy. It would be all the scoring in the game but not without drama nonetheless. Three times the Explorers moved the tying run to third with one out but could not push it across. Twice Vogelsong induced double plays and in the most exciting, Hunter threw out the speedy Young at the plate to end the sixth.
Game #6:	Clovis 13 – Columbus 3Columbus hoping to end the losing streak at ten, instead it quickly turned into a blowout as Clovis piled up 11 runs by the 4th inning. Everyone contributed, Arenado was the only starter to not score a run but he contributed 3 RBI along with a pair of hits, Davis and Reyes both went deep both victimizing Harrell who was knocked out early. Cashner stuck around long enough to pick up his 12th win.
Series Summary	Columbus is stuck in the throes of a nightmare; 11 straight losses and any hopes of a wildcard fading faster than knockoff Wranglers in a Mexican laundry. Clovis running hard to keep ahead of Camarillo who tangles with Valdosta this week.

Series Summary	Hollywood takes 5 of 6 from Dallas.

Traverse City Crusaders @ Tijuana Bottle Rockets
Series Summary	Continuing their recent hot streak the Bottle Rockets take 4 of 6 from the visiting Crusaders.

Valdosta Snappers @ Camarillo Quest

Series Preview

First place Camarillo traded for veteran lefty A.J. Burnett – as they look for just their second division crown in team history (they have
been second place 9 times).

Series Summary

Newly acquired A.J. Burnett went down with an injury and despite hitting several long balls in the series, Camarillo couldn’t muster the offense they have been used to – so they split the series 3 games a piece. Valdosta has a very strong bullpen and it showed – winning several close games and holding onto leads.

Scott Hairston continued with his strong bat – now batting .354 with 13 home runs and 30 rbis in just his first 25 games. He is a big reason of the recent Camarillo surge.

Fremont Cannons @ Coconut Creek Crushers
Series Preview	Crushers need to take advantage when playing the sub .500 teams.
Game #1:	Crushers get 6 in the first and cruise to a 9-2 win.
Game #2:	Echoes of the past game as Uggla and Soto both homer to carry CCC to a 6-4 win.
Game #3:	CCC scores one in the 8th and another in the 10th to pull out the 5-4 win. Cuddyer goes 4 for 5 to carry the Crushers.
Game #4:	Domonic Brown hits 2 homers to support a strong Cingrani start in a 7-2 CCC win.
Game #5:	Brown stays hot by leading off the 1st inning with another homer. That is all Garza needed as he goes 8 scoreless. Melancon shuts down Fremont in the 9th to save a 2-0 CCC win.
Game #6:	Jarrod Cosart steals the spotlight with 8 very strong innings. CCC chases him in the 9th by loading the bases but fail to score off Farquhar as Fremont wins 3-1 and avoids the sweep.
Series Summary	CCC gets a much needed 5-1 series win.

Jersey Nor’easters @ Long Beach Dirt Bags
Series Summary	In a series that featured 5 shutouts, Long Beach and Jersey split 6 games. Arroyo had 2 of the shutouts including a 10K, 1 BB no hitter in the first game.

Virginia Sluggers @ Bethesda Bandicoots
Series Preview	This series should come with caffeine pills.
Game #1:	Virginia wins a wild one 10-7. Anthony Rizzo hits a grand slam in the first inning for Virginia. Bethesda gets only a few hits in the game but make them count with Chris Davis and Chris Heisey each bashing 3-run homers.
Game #2:	A two-run homer is all Bethesda could come up with as Virginia creeps back and past them for a 3-2 win.
Game #3:	Chris Tillman tosses a three hit shutout in Virginia’s 4-0 win.
Game #4:	John Danks did a nifty job of pitching for a scuzzy Grade 3 against the hapless Bandicoots and leads Virginia to another easy 5-1 win.
Game #5:	Chris Archer improves to 9-1 on the year with a 3-0 win over Bethesda. Jose Iglesias goes down to injury for a couple of weeks.
Game #6:	Marwin Gonzalez hit his 1st homer of the season and Nate Eovaldi stalled the Sluggers for pretty much the whole game as Bethesda salvaged one win in the series with a 3-0 shutout of Virginia.
Game #7	Thankfully, there was no game seven.
Series Summary	Virginia came up with some good, but unlikely pitching from some bad starters but of course knew who they were up against … a team that can’t do anything right except lose.

Sacramento Capitals @ Motor City Muscle
Series Preview	Motor City and Sacramento battle for ping pong balls in a six-game series
Game #1:	MCM 4 – SAC 3 WP: Locke LP: Samardjia SV: Rondon HR: Trout Motor City’s offense answered every time Sacramento scored and held on for the win.
Game #2:	SAC 1 – MCM 0 WP: Bedard LP: Williams HR: Pujols Unlikely pitchers’ duel is decided by first inning solo shot by Pujols.
Game #3:	MCM 5 – SAC 0 WP: Cloyd (CG) LP: Kendrick HR: S. Perez Sal Perez drove in three early runs and Cloyd cruised, scattering three hits.
Game #4:	MCM 9 – SAC 3 WP: Straily LP: Aceves HR: Sierra Motor City scored early and often, busting out with a six-run first inning.
Game #5:	SAC 5 – MCM 4 WP: Jenkins LP: Chavez SV: Vincent HR: none Morton and the bullpen melted down late for Motor City as the Caps rallied for five runs from the seventh inning on. Sierra was the difference for Sacramento with two big RBI late, including the winner in the ninth. Cody Ashe injured for 34 days; Catellanos for 4 days; H. Perez for 1 day
Game #6:	SAC 5 – MCM 4 (12 INN.) WP: Vincent LP: Rondon HR: Pujols, Willingham, Dominguez Sacramento used the long-ball and another Motor City bullpen meltdown to tie the series. Sierra’s RBI double in the ninth tied it and Dominguez’s solo shot in the twelfth won it for the Capitals. Sacramento’s bullpen was shaky as well, allowing the Muscle to tie the game with two runs in the seventh.
Series Summary	Caps and Muscle tie the series 3-3. S. Perez, trout and Myers had good series for Motor City. Sierra and Pujols were the offensive stars for Sacramento. Vincent had a win and a save for Sacramento

Southbend Lynx @ Yonge Street Stalkers
Series Summary	Southbend stumbled in, losing the first 3 games…then snatched the final 3 games to make all involved feel “meh”.

Manhattan Project @ Roseville Thorns
Series Preview	Manhattan (54-42) visiting Roseville (53-42).
Game #1:	Zito vs. Irwin Wheels came off in the 5th for Zito as he allows a 5-spot. Thorns win 7-2 as Turner goes 4-4 w/ 3 RBI. MAN 0 RVT 1
Game #2:	Medlen vs. Hellweg Hellweg pitches 6 strong innings allowing only 2 runs. De La Rosa allows a 2-run jack (Wells) in the 7th to allow Manhattan to slip ahead for good 4-3. MAN 1 RVT 1
Game #3:	Porcello vs. Vargas Roseville tallies 3 in the 3rd and leads it 4-2 entering the 7th. Coello makes his 1st RP appearance of the year relieving Vargas in the 7th with a couple men on and two hits later the score is 6-4 Project. Thorn bats were quiet the rest of the game. Each team raked out 13 hits with Freemen leading all hitters going 4 for 5 with 3 runs scored and 4 RBI. MAN 2 RVT 1
Game #4:	Darvish vs. Masterson Wells blasts a 3-run shot in the 2nd to put Manhattan up 3-1 but Roseville responds with 5 in the bottom of the 3rd to pull ahead 6-3. Both bullpens are stingy allowing no runs the rest of the way. MAN 2 RVT 2
Game #5:	Fernandez vs. Gonzalez Gonzalez goes the distance and matches Fernandez thru 7 innings where the score sat 1-1. Freeman hits a double in the 8th and Drew slaps one by the not-so-sure handed Encarnacion to put the visitors ahead 2-1. Smyly nails down the save. MAN 3 RVT 2
Game #6:	The Project score 4 early and the home team could only must 2 all day. Manhattan wins it 5-2. MAN 4 RVT 2
Series Summary	Roseville fans give Encarnacion a good send off and he responded with a solo shot in his last game in the Rose Bush. Manhattan keeps heat on the division leading Outlaws while the Thorns drop to 8.5 back.
