The last time Hollywood won the division was 2005. The season ended losing to Chicago in the LCS 4 games to 1. They looked at their team and realized the mediocrity they would achieve if they did not rebuild. To achieve greatness, Hollywood would have need to trade and draft smart. The goal was to get back to the playoffs in 5 years – which they missed by 1 year. While they won 106 games in 2011, they lost in the Division Series to Severn (the eventual AL Champions) 4 games to 3. In 2012, Hollywood returned to the top of the AL West, with 106 wins, winning the AL Title, only to lose the World Series in the most bizarre sweep in MWBL history. Hollywood and Sacramento would combine for a total of 8 runs in the 2012 World Series. Sacramento would win 2-1, 2-1, 1-0 & 1-0.
Hollywood would go on to win the next 6-straight division titles, going a combined 760-374 (.670 W%). They went to 3 of 4 World Series between 2012-2015, with 1 World Series Championship. 2012 was the start of the run for Hollywood. They rebuilt a team with their superior starting pitching (the 3 Horsemen) of Jered Weaver, David Price and Clayton Kershaw. Sprinkle in the homegrown talent of Alex Gordon, Christian Yelich and Paul Goldschmidt and you have a team dynasty
