Well that didn’t take long to clinch the pennant. A 4 run 6th and a 6 run 8th supported HOL’s Kershaw, who held VIR at bay to complete his undefeated season and improve his bid for the Cy Young award. K.Marte went 3-6 with 4 RBI while launching two (2) home runs to lead the attack. Goldschmidt and Thomas also chipped in with homers to make this an easy win for HOL. |

| Game #1: | Adam Duvall swatted a grand slam in the 7th inning off Steven Okert to make a close game unclose in a hurry with Bethesda winding up on top 7-2. Nate Lowe (12) homered for Corktown off Hyun-Jin Ryu after the lefty was called in to replace starter Mitch Keller whose elbow went out on him (9 day injury). Alex Verdugo and Jose Caballero each had two hits and a stolen base for the Cycle. Duvall’s homer was his 33rd of the season and he was joined by Jeff McNeil (13) who had a 3/3 day including the homer off Tanner Bibee in the 6th. |
| Game #2: | Shea Langeliers (12) smacked Leclerc’s pitch in the bottom of the 8th just inside the left field foul pole to give Bethesda a 4-3 win. Aledx Verdugo got his 19th homer of the season and drove in three runs for Corktown. Pavin Smith (9) also hit a home run for Bethesda. Josh Hader fanned two of three batters he faced in a perfect 9th to get his 35th save. |
| Game #3: | Reid Detmers emerged from the abyss to actually pitch well for five innings, but he didn’t really need to as the Bandicoots’ offense had this one with a 17-hit attack that translated into a 9-2 win. Andrew Vaughn (13),Nick fortes (1) and Nick Castellanos (29) homered for Bethesda. |
| Game #4: | Another tight game in which both offenses went to sleep after the 5th inning, but Merrill Kelly (16-6) slightly outperformed Collin Rea (8-6) to give the Bandicoots just enough of an edge to win 4-3. Ryan Mountcastle (28) and Anthony Volpe (15) went deep for Corktown while Jake Meyers (13) replied for Bethesda. Josh Hader (36) tossed a perfect 9th with two more strikeouts. |
| Game #5: | George Kirby allowed just one run over seven innings as the Bandicoots edged the Cycle 1-0. Kirby (21-6) allowed just one walk while striking out six with Josh Hader once again registering the save to end the season with 37 (spoiler alert). Andrew Vaughn provided the game’s only offense with a solo homer off Josiah Gray (11-9) who pitched very well in allowing just three hits and three walks in just under seven innings. |
| Game #6: | Slade Cecconi improved to 2-0 by tossing seven innings of shutout ball as the Cycle cruised to a 8-0 win over Bethesda. The Cycle didn’t homer in the game but Curtis Mead had four hits including two doubles and drove in two runs while scoring three. Luis Campusano had three hits and drove in two as well for the Cycle. |

Bielak stays on in the ninth with a 2-0 lead. Despite walking two, he’s able to get the CGSO. Canning allows 0 runs though eight. Gore allows 0 runs through nine, and strikes out 14. We go to extra inning scoreless.Fremont gets two on in the tenth but doesn’t score. We stay scoreless through the eleventh , twelfth, and thirteenth innings. With a runner on 1st in the top of the fourteenth, Emmanuel Rivera singles home the first run of the game. Nick Maton follows up with a run-scoring double to give Motor City the 2-0 lead. In the bottom of the inning, Fremont gets runners on 2nd and 3rd and pushes one across with a Vladimir Guerrero Jr. infield single. Jace Peterson follows with a single of his own to tie it at 2-2. The Cannons have two on with no outs, but fail to bring in the winning run. Motor City goes 3-up, 3-down in the top of the fifteenth. A Teoscar Hernandez double and intentional walk to Elly d la Cruz sets the stage for Josh Rojas, whose 3-run walkoff home wins it for Fremont 5-2. Both teams had 12 LOB.
