QUAKES & BUCKEYES MAKE DEAL

ESPN NEWS (Bristol) – The Northridge Quakes and the Ohio Valley Buckeyes pulled off a major trade on Wednesday morning (01/03/99).  Northridge, after many weeks of thinking he could catch fore runner Tempe, packed it in on 99, and started looking towards the future. In a surprise move, Northridge dealt away much talent, and in return received potential.   Ohio Valley improved his team once again, and said, that unless something drastic happens in the playoffs, he is scheduling a rematch with Tempe in the MWBL World Series.   Details of the deal are listed below:
Ohio Valley Receives:Â Mike Piazza, Mosies Alou, Curt Schilling, John Hudek, & Jose Rijo.
Northridge Receives:Â Kerry Wood, Rusty Greer, Carlos Guillen, Donovon Osborne, Ruben Mateo & Lance Berkman
