Long Beach Dirt Bags @ Portland Lumber Jax
Series Preview:	The Long Beach Dirt Bags travel to Depoe Bay (alternate stadium) to play the Portland LumberJax.
Game #1:	Long Beach wins after a strong game by Justin Turner 3-4 4 rbi. LB 6 POR 3
Game #2:	Dozier hits the very first pitch of the game out of the park for the Dirt Bags, but that is the only hit of the game for them, as Jack Flaherty goes into lockdown mode the rest of the way in the one-hitter. POR 6 LB 1
Game #3:	For the second straight game, Portland pitching is on fire. Walker Buehler makes it 16 straight no-hit innings, before giving up a solo HR in the 9th. There was a rain delay in the game… and Buehler’s grade dropped, and they advanced later in the game. Might have been the first player ever to be reduced and pitch a no-hitter… but not quite. Game #4:	Portland wins again as the Dirtbags offense seems to be on spring break. POR 3 LB 2
Game #5:	Long Beach still doesn’t bring their A-game… or B or C or maybe even D game, as Portland shuts them out once again. German Marquez gets the 4-hit CG win. POR 4 LB 0
Game #6:	Outstanding pitching by Portland, or no offense for the Dirtbags? But Portland squeaks out another win. Tyle Mahle with the CG 4-hit game. POR 2 LB 1
Game #7:	LB scores just one run again, as Portland gets another win. POR 3 LB 1
Series Summary:	Portland wins 6 of 7, and currently rides a 6 game winning streak in what likely will be the high point of the season for them.

Series Preview:	Harsens (7-7) are trolling in Triple Creek (7-7) territory for a 6 game set.
Game #1:	Gio Gonzalez (1-1) takes the bump vs.Kevin Gausman (0-0). Both starters toss doughnuts the first 3 innings until the Patriots tally 1 in the 4th. Triple Creek would add single runs two more times while their arms would hold The Walleye to just 3 hits. Benintendi with the big bat today collecting 2 RBI. HIW 0 TCP 3 W – Gausman (1) L – Gonzalez (2) S – Workman (5)
Game #2:	Urena (1-2) vs. Frank Montas (0-0). Patriots blow it open with 3 runs in the bottom of the 3rd kicked off by a Corey Seager 2-run single. Harens would answer with 2 in the top of the 4th off Buttrey. Triple Creek would answer right back with 2 in the bottom half of the 5th to conclude all scoring for the day. France and Lopez each have 2 hits for the Walleye while Seager and Bellinger pace the Creek. HIW 2 TCP 5 W – Buttrey (1) L – Urena (3) S – Workman (6)
Game #3:	Significant numbers this game are 12, 17 and 24. That is the number of pitchers used, innings it took, and runners Triple Creek left on base. 24 LOB! Are you freaking kidding me?! The war of attrition was decided in on a Hiura walk-off hit as Beede faced just 2 batters allowing them both to get hits. Villar was a cool 4-8 w/ 2 SB and solo shot. Garcia (3-7 and Lopez (2-7) led the Walleye bats. HIW 2 TCP 3 W -Strahm (2) L – Middleton (1) S – None
Game #4:	After a day off, Rodriguez squares of against Hunter Wood. Wood and three other Patriot arms hold Harsens scoreless, on just 3 hits, for their 2nd shutout already in the series. Bellinger and Piscotty each deliver 2-run jacks. HIW 0 TCP 4 W – Newcomb (2) L – Rodriguez (1) S – None
Game #5:	Gonzalez vs. Newcomb. Harsens draws first blood with 1 in the 1st. Patriots answer with 3 in the 2nd. No score in innings 3-7. The Walleye scratch one out in the 8th to pull within 1 but Triple Creek adds 2 more of their own in the 8th to take a 5-2 lead. And boy are they glad for those 2 back-to-back solo shots from Hiura and Gurriel because Soria and Workman did not have their usual stuff. Harsens plates 2 in the 9th to pull within 1 before Workman can extinguish the fire. The Walleye collect 11 hits but leave 10 on base. Engel 3-5 w/ RBI, France 3-4 and Arenado (HR and 2 RBI) keep Harsens in it. Hidden power source Lucroy delivers a big 2-run dinger in the 8th. HIW 4 TCP 5 W – Holland (1) L – Gonzalez (3) S – Workman (7)
Game #6:	Beede vs. Gausman is a good one. Harsens scores first again with 1 in the 3rd. Triple Creek, as they have done all series, answer quickly with 2 in the 4th. They then add 1 in the 5th for a 3-1 lead. Walleye arms would knuckle down from there on out and hold Triple Creek scoreless the rest of the way. On top of that they muster up a nice 3 inning rally in the 7th to avoid the sweep. Arenado crushes a 2-run bomb in the 7th to push Harsens over the top. Patriots out hit Harsens 13-8 but stranded 12. HIW 4 TCP 3 W – Beede (2) L – Miller (2) S – Taylor (1)
Series Summary:	A relatively low scoring series that featured three 1-run games. Triple Creek seemed to answer the bell when they needed and the staff tossed a couple of shutouts to take 5 of 6.

Southbend Lynx @ Dallas Cougars
Series Summary:	Dallas wins 4 of 6.

Southwest Detroit Fighting Chihuahuas @ Fremont Cannons
Series Preview:	SWD and FRE both have improved from last year, let’s see how they do head-to-head.
Game #1:	This was a back-and-forth affair, as neither starter was able to settle in. SWD scores a run in the seventh to tie it at 5-5, but Fremont goes ahead 6-5 in the bottom of the frame with a Byron Buxton double. Down to their last at-bat, Dansby Swanson hits a game-tying homer in the bottom of the ninth. The teams trade zeroes until Byron Buxton again comes up big and knocks home the winner.
Game #2:	SWD gets a run in the top of the first, but Jason Vargas holds them scoreless in seven more innings, and Fremont wins 4-1. Javier Baez hits his 6th homer.
Game #3:	Sandy Alcantara was effectively wild in this, walking 6 but only allowing 2 hits. Fremont breaks it open against the Chihuahua bullpen and wins it 8-0.
Game #4:	Some poor Fremont defense sets up a 5-run second inning for Southwest Detroit, with a Harrison Bader grand slam as the big blow. Both starters struck out 10, but it’s Reynaldo Lopez that comes up with the W in the 7-3 SWD win.
Game #5:	The second extra-innings game of the series, the teams were tied 4-4. Dansby Swanson’s second HR of the game put SWD up by three in the top of the 10th. Khris Davis was able to connect for a solo shot in the bottom of the inning, but that was it for the scoring. SWD 7-5.
Game #6:	Daniel Norris struck out 12 en route to a 6-1 Fremont victory.
Game #7:	Jon Gray was masterful, striking out 11 Cannons and holding Fremont to one run. SWD wins the finale 3-1.
Series Summary:	A close series, with the edge going to Fremont 4-3.

Valdosta Snappers @ Selkirk Steelers
Series Preview:	Valdosta comes to Selkirk. Selkirk is a better team, not a contender but .500 seems possible a big leap for this crew.
Game #1:	Profar homers Keller is great 3-1 Selkirk.
Game #2:	KING FELIX! Homers pitch great and Donaldson bashes as Valdosta wins 5-2.
Game #3:	Irvin was great 1 in 7 homers by Donaldson and Suzuki as Volesta wins 7-2.
Game #4:	Perez homer Zimmerman 3 hitter! Valdosta wins 4-0.
Game #5:	Selkirk wakes up Semien 2 homers 5 RBIs, winker 2 homers and Haseley homers in a 16-4 Selkirk blowout.
Game #6:	Hedges drives in 3 and Freid was great with a 6 hitter, Selkirk wins 5-0.
Game #7:	King Felix was very good but gives up a Nunez homer as Selkirk eeks out a 2-1 win.
Series Summary:	Pitcher of the week Zimmerman 3 hits 2 walks 9 K’s as he and Hernandez make the young fastball hitting Steelers look bad! But Selkirk did manage to win 4 of the 7 games. Selkirk’s ffile adjusted already for next series.

Columbus Explorers @ Tempe Tempers
Series Preview:	Filling in for a swamped Chris, the Explorers play the road series in the battle of the NL Central’s winners the past few years (beyond that, it’s Tempe’s turf).
Game #1:	Game 1 turns into a strong pitching matchup – Jordan Lyles for Columbus goes 6, 3 hits, 1 run. Miko Mikolas goes 6.2 for Tempe, 5 hits, 1 run. Marcel Ozuna’s solo homer (2) in the 2nd tied the game and it goes until the 11th a Paul DeJong SF scores D.J.L LaMahieu with the winners. COL 2-6-1 WP Petit (1-0) S Hendrik (1) TEM 1-5-0 LP Yates (0-2)
Game #2:	If 1 extra-inning game was enough, let’s go for two! Matt Carpenter and D.J. LaMahieu combine in the top of the 1st for a run and J.D. Martinez whacks a rbi double in the bottom half to knot it 1-1 after 1. Ian Desmond homers (1) in the 7th for a 2-1 lead but Xander Bogaerts doubles in one in the 8th to tie it. Then in the 10th with Petit working his 2nd inning, Xander Bogaerts hits a walk-off 2 run homer, his 7th of the year! And Tempe takes it 4-2 in 10. COL 2-5-1 LP Petit (1-1) TEM 4-8-0 WP Bowman (2-0)
Game #3:	Explorers gain the lead 3-1 after 3, but then Tempe strikes for 5 runs in the 4th including a 2 run double from starter Adam Wainwright. Down 6-2, Columbus then strikes back for 4 of their own in the top of the 5th to tie it up. Then Matt Carpenter connects on a Jared Hughes fastball and sends it out of the park for a solo homer (3) in the 8th and Jose LeClerc makes it stand up, and a typical COL-TEM see-saw fashion, Columbus takes game 3, 7-6. COL 7-11-0 WP Kyle Ryan (3-0) S LeClerc (1) TEM 6- 7-1 LP Hughes (1-2)
Game #4:	OK – if you follow along, you know Tempe is going to win this one – and they do. In fact, Jacob Waguespack faces 1 more than the minimum – only 28 batters. He gives up 1 hit, 2 walks and the defense gets a couple of DP’s. He earns a G Score of 90 for his efforts. And he gets a bit of offensive help and the Tempers scores single runs in the 2nd through 7th innings – and THEN they get 5 in the 8th for the big 11-0 win! Michael Brantley – 2 hits, 4 RBIs. Xander Bogaerts gets 3 hits, 3 RBIs and a homer (8). Marcel Ozuna (3) also unloads. COL 0- 1-1 LP Happ (0-3) TEM 11-16-0 WP Waguespack (2-0)
Game #5:	So – Columbus comes back for game 5 with 3 in the 1st and that was enough as Julio Teheran gives up only 2 in 6 innings and Liam Hendriks and Petit keep it that way. But the Explorers do tack on 2 more. Enrique Hernandez homers (2) in the 1st for 2. Ryan Braun homers (1) for Tempe for 2 in the 5th. COL 5-7-2 WP Teheran (3-0) S Petit (2) TEM 2-5-0 LP Miko Mikolas (0-3)
Game #6:	OK, Waguespack got a G Score of 90 in game 4, well Jordan Lyles gets one of 92 as he leads Columbus to a break in the see-saw pattern by tossing a 1 hitter and facing the minimum 27 batters as Evan Longoria is erased on a Marcel Ozuna DP in the 6th. Paul DeJong provides all the offense with a 2 run homer (3) in the 5th as Wade Miley pitches well himself. He gives up 3 hits in 6 innings and that was about all Columbus got. COL 2-4-0 WP Lyles (1-1) TEM 0-1-0 LP Miley (1-2)
Game #7:	Columbus now ensured a series win found a star in Dario Agrazal – at least for 6 innings as he tosses a 6 hitter that yields only 2 runs. His teammates then scored the go-ahead run in the 7th, breaking a 2-2 tie, added an insurance run in the 8th and again parlayed the combo of Hendriks and Petit to hang on to the 4-2 win. Ryan Braun and J.D. Martinez drove in the Tempers runs and Tyler Flowers got his 1st homer of the year for Columbus. COL 4-6-1 WP Agrazal (2-1) S Petit (3) TEM 2-6-1 LP Wainwright (2-3)
Series Summary:	Columbus gets a 5 of 7 wins in a mostly non-offensive game.

Hollywood Werewolves @ Mesa Solar Sox
Series Preview:	Division mates looking to pound each other into oblivion? Let’s see if anyone can pitch…
Game #1:	Mesa blasts 5 homers (Suarez, Rosario, Mazara, Tellez, Gomes) but gets out hit 13-9. They barely hang on to win 7-6.
Game #2:	Yelich, Chapman, Olsen, and Galvis go yard for Hollywood. The Solar Sox hit 6 (Suarez 2, Garver, Frazier, Gruichuk, and Mondesi) but lose 11-10 in 10 innings. Starters David Price and Aaron Sanchez each give up 4 homers (that’s 8 homers n 10 combined innings)
Game #3:	Randall Grichuk hits a two-run homer to erase a 3-1 Hollywood lead and the game eventually goes into extra innings whereIan Kennedy gives up the game-winning RBI double to Christian Yelich. Hollywood wins in a normal 4-3 game.
Game #4:	Paul Goldschmidt and Kyle Farmer ( a 3 run job) hit homers as Hollywood builds a 4-1 lead. In the 8th innings, however, Lester tires and Estevez comes in to put gasoline on the fire. Mesa scores 7 times to win 8-4. Eddie Rosario hits 2 two-run homers.
Game #5:	Drew Smyly goes the distance for Mesa, giving up a late 3 run homer to Hanser Alberto. Too little, too late as Mesa already had a 9-0 lead in the 3rd. Yelich also homered for Hollywood but Marte and Mazara hit blasts in the 10-4 Mesa win.
Game #6:	Charlie Morton goes 8 innings for his first win of the year. Will Harris saves the 4-3 win. Paul Goldschmidt hit 2 homers, both 2 run jobs for all the Hollywood scoring. Garver and Frazier had built a 3-0 Mesa lead early with long balls but Brad Peacock gave up the second 2 run homer to Goldy for the loss.
Game #7:	With the series tied at 3, Hollywood put an exclamation point on who’s the better team. They clubbed 5 homers ( Yelich 2, Chapman, Olsen, and Galvis) blasting the Solar Sox 12-5, gathering 19 hits in the process.
Series Summary:	Hollywood wins the series 4-3 in a slugfest. The Starts hit 16 homers in 7 games. The Solar Sox hit 20!! Kudos to Hollywood for not buckling under the onslaught. Yelich, Goldschmidt, Olsen, and Chapman will fuel a great season for the Stars.

Virginia Sluggers @Motor City Muscle
Series Preview:	Motor City’s home opener, hosting Virginia for 6 games
Game #1:	VIR 8 – MCM5 WP: Archer LP: De Grom SV: H. Robles HR: VIR–B. Reynolds, Springer, C. Santana; MCM–A. Garcia, Candelario Along with the trio of HRs, Jean Segura led the VIR attack with three hits. De Grom got roughed up with a four-run 2nd inning.
Game #2:	MCM 6 – VIR 4 WP: K. Hendricks LP: L.Castillo SV: A. Adams HR: VIR–C. Santana; MCM–Castellanos (2), Choo Nicholas Castellanos’s two HRs led the MCM offense, along with two doubles by Bobby Bradley. Castellanos and Shin-soo Choo hit back-to-back HRs to key a five-run second inning.
Game #3:	VIR 5 – MCM 3 WP: T. Williams LP: Leake SV: H. Robles HR: VIR–B. Anderson, Jean Segura; MCM–Ahmed, A. Garcia, Castellanos VIR overcomes three MCM HRs to take this one.
Game #4:	MCM 6 – VIR 3 WP: Verlander (CG) LP: Borucki HR: VIR–C. Santana, J. Bradley; MCM–Castellanos MCM ambushed VIR with five runs in the first two innings. Once again,the losing team out-homered the winning team. Justin Verlander struck out 10.
Game #5:	MCM 7 – VIR 3 WP: A. Adams LP: Brice HR: VIR–j. Bradley; MCM–Trout (3) This was a wild one! A beanball war resulted in both starting pitchers (Zach Davies for MCM, Adam Plutko for VIR) getting ejected. Mike Trout hit three HRs in the game, including a walk-off grand slam.
Game #6:	MCM 6 – VIR 2 WP: WP: R.Hill LP: Archer SV: J.Wilson HR: :VIR–Devers; MCM–Choo Shin-soo Choo led theMCMattack with a 3-5, 4 RBI performance. It was a costly victory for MCM, who lost Jeimer Candelario, who went 2-3 with two runs scored, for 18 days due to injury
Series Summary:	MCM takes the series 4 games to 2 in front of a sparse, socially distant crowd. Nicholas Castellanos had 4 HRs in the series, while Mike Trout had a 3-HR game (including a walk-off GS). Jeimer Candelario, SHin-soo Choo, and Avisail Garcia all had a pair of homers in the series. For VIR, Carlos Santana had three HRs in the series, Jackie Bradley, Jr. had two. Hansel Robles saved both of the VIR victories. Jeimer Candelario injured for 18 games in game 6 of the series.
