Coconut Creek  Crushers @ Dallas  Cougars

Series Preview:  With the season 2/3 complete both teams are starting to dream about the 2018 draft.
Game #1:  Hunter Dozier breaks up a not hit bid by Andrew Heaney with two outs in the bottom of the 6th inning and later breaks a 1-1 tie in the 8th with a 2 RBI-single. Heaney’s great pitching effort goes for naught as he allowed 3 runs in the 8th, but he does strike out 15.

Final Score: Dallas 3, Coconut Creek 2

Game #2:  Cougars hit two solo home runs, but the crushers hit 11 singles and outscore Dallas 8 to 1 over the last 8 innings. Max Muncy goes 4 for 5 and raises his average to .188 for Coconut Creek.

Although the game wasn’t decided until the 9th Andrew Heaney faces only 28 hitters striking out 13 of them. The hard luck loser, Dallas Keuchel also goes the distance punching out 10. The game winning hit was a 2 out double by Will Myers in the top of the 9th.

Jersey  Nor’easters @ Tempe  Tempers

Series Preview:  Jersey is looking towards the future, while Tempe is enjoying it while it lasts.
Game #1:  An early two run homer by Cabrera put Tempe on the board and it looked like Chacin looked like he’d get the easy win until Phat took him deep with three run hr in the 8th. W – Ramirez (3)
L – Jennings (3)
S – Salas (2)

Game #5:  All Patriots as Alex Meyer sneaks sleeping pills into the Bandicoot gatorade supply. Meyer tosses 7 innings of shutout ball as the offense rises late to put the game out of reach with 2 pinch-hit dingers.
