The first inning went as planned for both starters but in the top of the second Bethesda had other plans after a fly out by Andre Eithier, Chris Colabello lined a single to CF Alex Rodriguez grounded out moving the runner over and with Brad Miller at the plate Stburg fired a 54 footer right by the catcher Salty as Colabello scored easily on the WP, Miller ended the inning on a flyout Bandicoots lead 1-0…In the top of the 3rd after a K Lorenzo Cain lined a single into left and then AJ Pierzynski clocked a HR to deep right center making the score now 3-0

Jhonny_Peralta16WSGame 3 brings Bethesda home for there first World Series, excited and ready to show there fans a good game mother nature had other plans and kept both teams in the dugout until this weather cleared, NBC showed a re-run of Shane and when the umps got the go ahead from the local weatherman the crowd jumped to there feet to cheer on there boys to victory

Game #4: Stephen Strasburg (13-3 2.62) vs. Jake Odorizzi (13-2 2.70)
The hometown Bandicoots look for a better result today as they have Jake Odorizzi on the mound for the sellout crowd to cheer for and Detroit is throwing Stephen Starsburg looking to go up 3-1;

IBryce_HarperWS16n the bottom of the first Travis Shaw would get things going for Bethesda with a 2 out double off the wall in right followed by an RBI double to right from Adrien Gonzalez and with David Peralta coming to the plate he yelled at Gonzalez ” be ready to run Gonzo” and promptly dropped a single in front of Bryce Harper, Gonzo blew thru the stop sign and scored under the tag making it 2-0 as the Bethesda faithful cheered.In the top of the second Adam Jones doubled off up the gap stole 3rd and later scored on an RBI double from Jhonny Peralta putting the score at 2-1 Bethesda, it would stay that way until the top of the forth when Franklin Guitierez got a 1 out walk followed by another RBI double from Peralta to tie the score at 2; In the 6th AJ Pierzynski got a leadoff single off of Alex Wilson, Siegrist would relieve him and retire Shaw and Gonzalez but would walk David Peralta setting up Andre Eithier to get a double down the line scoring 2 and sending the Bandicoots crowd into a frenzy, Bethesda leads 4-2; Prince Fielder would join the scoring with a PH home run in the 7th off of Morrow making it 4-3. Ryan Madson came on in relief for Bethesda in the 8th 6 outs away from a home victory and got Ben Zobrist to hit an easy grounder to Drew but he botched the throw to first giving Detroit the lead off man on and bringing up Bryce Harper who was looking for his first HR of the series and he didnt need to look any further as he launched a long bomb over the right field wall giving Detroit the lead 5-4, he took his time rounding those bases too. Madson was disgusted with himself and then walked Kendrys Morales on 4 pitches Tyler Ross spelled Madson  and gave up a single to Jones , single to Guitierez and sac fly to Peralta for the first out of the inning, soft hitting Christian Bethancourt then came up and hit a line drive over the first basemans head making it 7-4, Ichiro would add another sac fly and by the time the harvest was in it was 8-4 Detroit; After the Harper HR Bethesda could not regain the lead but the crowd still loves there boys and will hope for a better result tomorrow. Detroit would take this one 8-4 , Madson would take the loss as he would not record an out and Kazmir would get the win pitching a scoreless 7th. Detroit now leads the series 3-1 over Bethesda.

Game #5: Madison Bumgarner (25-5 1.75) vs. Jake Arrieta (17-10 1.66)
Madison_Bumgarner16WSIts a comfortable 65 and sunny here in Bethesda and the fans are eagerly awaiting the start of game 5 to cheer on there Bandicoots;  Their ace and Game 1 winner Jake Arrieta will take the mound against Madison Bumgarner for the Crime; Bumgarner said ( I spent last night clearing out some timber for a young couple who needed the help)

In the first 2 innings an error by Kendrys Morales and a single by David Peralta were the only things either team could muster up but in the bottom of the 3rd Bethesda got a 2 out double from AJ Pierzynski followed by an RBI single from Andre Either to move Bethesda ahead 1-0 and also get the 45,000 fans on there feet.

In the top of the 4th Ben Zobrist stepped up to the plate and smacked a home run to right center field to tie the game at 1,Ben said “Jake hung one and I hit it ”  then Bryce Harper got a double up the gap in right his 5th hit of the series and would later score on a bloop single to left from the bat of Jhonny Peralta and go up 2-1; both Arrieta and Bumgarner pitched very well in this game but Arrieta was pulled after 5 and in the 7th the Crime would get to the Bandicoots bullpen ; With Chris Young on the mound Franklyn Guitierez would lead off with a double and score on a Peralta single making it 3-1 , Justin Miller would relieve Young but promptly walk Kyle Schwarber and get the easy grounder from Bumgarner to Travis Shaw but Shaw would fire it right by Adrian Gonzales to extend the inning, Peralta scored easily making it 4-1, another costly error by the Bandicoots defense , after another walk this time to Manny Machado , Brian Matusz would come into relief and pitch to Zobrist  “lets get out of this jam yelled Gonzales ” but Matusz also walked Zobrist making it 5-1; the Bandicoots crowd started to hit the exits early to beat the traffic saying how can you come into relief and start walking guys, oh well wait till next year well be back; The crime would get another run on a Harper sac fly making it 6-1 and that’s the way it would end as Bumgarner pitched excellent  going 8 1/3 giving up only the 1 run, Ken Giles came in for the last 2 outs and celebrate the 4-1 series win ;Chris Colabello made the last out with a fly out to Adam Jones, as Jones made the catch Bryce Harper could be heard shouting  “Hit em with Hein” ;   One footnote to this game Bethesda manager Nik Malatestinic benched ARod and when asked why he said quote I benched him for a career of cheating and lying to baseball and the millions of fans of baseball he is a disgrace to the game end quote; the two had to be separated in the dugout as they exchanged words.
