Gators chomp on the Lumber Company, taking 4 of 6.

Selkirk is tying to reach .500 for the first time in team history and Valdosta is alive in the wild card race.

Pablo Sandovaal doubles and triples as Selkirk wins behind Alvarez 2-1.

Reynolds does all Valdosta needed a 3 run homer in the 4th, New Steeler Adams went 4.1 shutout innings of relief but Hughes was great allowing 1 run.

Valdosta wins 6 to 1 as Hudson was on.

Great game both teams stuck out 17 batters as Selkikr wins 1-0 in 16 innings!

Pablo gets 4 hits but Val hammered Adams for 7 runs as the relief pitcher exceeds his batters face the hard way.

Francisco Reynolds and Ross each homer for the snappers.

Tehran 9 innings two hits 10 K;s! Val 3 Sel 0 Fransico hit his 3rd homer of the series.

The Snappers take 4 of 6 games ending Selkirks home season.

Clovis and Long Beach meet with the Wheat Kings holding a 5 game lead in the NL West.

Cruz broke a 1-1 tie with an RBI 2B in the 6th. Phillips added a 2 run HR in the 7th. Long Beach tied it 4-4 in the bottom of the inning on a Holt 3 run HR. Ozuna homered in the bottom of the 8th to give the Dirt Bags a 5-4 lead. Melancon came in to start the 9th. With 1 out Byrd singled but was caught stealing. Phillips followed with a 2B that would have tied the game but he was stranded there when Hunter flew out to end the game.

Long Beach built an early 4-0 lead behind a J.D. Martinez 2 run HR but the Wheat Kings fought back. They scored 2 in the 8th on a PH HR by Kouzmanoff and a PH RBI 2B by Bloomquist. LaRoche drove in another run on a 2B in the 9th but was stranded there as Melancon picked up his 41st save in the 4-3 win.

Dickey threw a 2 hit shutout as Long Beach won 1-0. Victor Martinez homered in the 1st for the only run of the game. Liriano was the tough luck loser giving up just 3 hits in 7 innings.

The Wheat Kings held a 1-0 lead going into the bottom of the 8th. Long Beach took the lead on a J.D. Martinez 3 run blast. Ozuna added a solo HR to make the final score 4-1.

Clovis took an early 4-0 lead on HRs by Hunter, Byrd & Castro and was never threatened in the 8-5 win. Hunter and Crawford had 3 hits each to lead the Wheat Kings offense. Kohse pitched 7 innings to pick up his 17th win.

For the second game in a row Clovis jumped to an early 4-0 lead. This time Cruz had the key hit a 2 run HR. Long Beach cut it to 4-2 and had the bases loaded with 1 out in the 8th but couldn’t get a hit and lost 4-2. Casilla closed out the 9th for his 38th save.

Long Beach won the first 4 games and got to within 1 of the lead but Clovis took the last 2 to maintain a 3 game lead.

Iron City heads into the series looking forward for the season to end and Bethesda hoping the balance of the season is called due to rain as they trudge forward in hopes of their first playoff appearance.

Bethesda gets to Iron City ace Lance Lynn early scoring four times in the 3rd inning as they coast to a 5-1 win in the opener. Conor Gillaspie drove in two runs on three hits for Bethesda.

Bethesda again disrespects an Iron City starting pitcher chasing Tom Koehler after just four outs as they hung on to win 9-6 over the Yinzers. DJ LeMahieu homered twice for Iron City in a 3/3 performance with three RBIs. The homers were his 7th and 8th of the year. Anthony Rendon was 4/5 and scored twice  for Bethesda. Jimmy Rollins (23) homered for Bethesda.

The Bandicoots held off a late-inning charge by the Yinzer to take their third straight game 6-4. Sam Fuld was 2/5 with a homer (4) and three RBIs for the Yinzers. Anthony Rendon (17), Adrian Gonzalez (37) and Lorenzo Cain (5) homered for Bethesda.

Sonny Gray scattered five hits over seven innings as he improved to 14-6 on the year with a 3-1 win over Iron City. Alberto Callaspo provided all the Iron City offense with a solo homer off Gray in the 2nd inning. Jordan Pacheco was 2/4 with a double and key RBI in a rare start at 1st base.

Jon Jay homered off Lance Lynn in the bottom of the 6th to break a 1-1 deadlock and provide the winning run in another 3-1 win by Bethesda over Iron City. Robinson Chirinos was 2/3 with the sole run on a homer in the 1st inning off Bethesda starter Tyson Ross.

For the third straight game the Bandicoots topped the Yinzers 3-1 to complete the six-game series sweep. Marwin Gonzalez was 3/4 for Bethesda while the Yinzers could only manage three hits against the Bethesda staff.

Looking for a series win, a sweep was a cause for just a wee bit of celebration for Bethesda.

Triple Creek comes a’ callin’ to try and squash the Nor’easters fading chances for a division championship.

Hunter Pence homers in the 8th to spoil a strong performance by time Lincecum. Triple Creek wins it 2-1.

Jersey bounces back in a wild game that had several lead changes to win it 8-7.

Jersey comes from behind again to win 7-6.

Too much Justin Masterson as Triple Creek evens the series winning 5-1. Lucas Duda clubs his 34th homer for Jersey’s only run.

Cy Young longshot Jeff Samardzjia wins his 15th tossing A 2-0 shutout as Jersey wins 2-0.

Lincecum with another strong game as his wins this one 6-2 for the Nor’easters.

Jersey takes the series 4-2 keeping their hopes alive.

The end is near

VIR struck early and cruised to a 5-2 win.

Karns gets a spot start and shows why he will be in the rotation full time next year.  CCC wins 3-0.

Stanton and Rizzo homer to lead VIR to an 8-2 win.

Santana homers twice with 4 RBI to lead VIR to a 6-2 win.

VIR gets 4 runs early and make it stand up in a 4-3 win.

De La Rosa is dominant in a 3-0 VIR win.

VIR takes the series 5-1.

Hollywood takes 5 of 6. They have major injuries that result in 3 coverage players being called up for the next series

Traverse City gets to host a first-place team in the Manhattan Project, to test their skills.

The Project & Smyly outlast deGrom & the Crusaders. Kyle Seager hit his 25th HR for Manhattan, while Kevin Kiermaier went 2-for-4, with a solo HR.

Walk-off single by Brian Dozier wins it for the Crusaders.

Traverse City 17, Manhattan 3

The Crusaders score in every inning available except for the first inning. Jordan Lyles improves to 5-8 with a 4.29 ERA. Todd Frazier hit 3 HR’s in a game, while Ryan Raburn hit 2 HR’s — Frazier had 8 RBI, Raburn had 5.Frazier also went 4-for-5, with 4 runs scored.

Manhattan 4, Traverse City 2

Crusaders led 2-1 until the top of the 6th. Jose Fernandez logs 10 K’s, while Travis Wood fell to 1-15!

Manhattan 5, Traverse City 2

Another game that T.C. led 2-0 through 5, Manhattan scored all 5 runs through Innings 6, 7 & 8. Josh Beckett improves to 13-4 with a 2.87 ERA. Tyler Skaggs pitched strong again, 6 K’s with only 2 ER’s & walk through 6 innings.

Manhattan 1, Traverse City 0

Jacob deGrom loses the game, despite only giving up 2 hits, in a complete game — He had 5 K’s. Drew Smyly pitches 7 shutout innings, allowing only 5 hits, plus 8 strikeouts. The Project scored on a error, as T.C. made 2 errors.The 2015 MWBL #1 Overall Pick, deGrom finishes the season with 8-8 record & 2.33 ERA.

Manhattan wins series 4-2, but had to pull off some late runs & win some close ones. Crusaders could have easily reversed the script in a 4-2 series win, the team has come quite a distance from a year ago.

Outlaws are blasted by Capitals; manage to win 1 game. Caps take the series 5 games to 1.

Tijuana takes the series 5-1

Motor City chugs into Southbend for a six game series. Neither team going anywhere fast.

MCM 9, SBL 2

Leake dominate. MCM offense is on fire with 9 runs on 12 hits. Trout hits HR #25 and three MCM players have two rbi.

SBL 7, MCM 2

Lone bright spot in series for SBL as Niese tosses 7 IP giving up 1 run. Morse is 3 for 4 with 4 rbi.

MCM 5, SBL 2

Roth is strong for MCM going 6 IP giving up 1 run and the MCM bullpen closes it out. Ramos gets save #27. Trout has big 2 run 3b and C.Young hits a solo-HR. Lowrie hits HR #12 for the SBL.

MCM 2, SBL 1

MCM Chavez gives the Muscle another strong start going 8 IP giving up 1 run, Cleto gets his 1st save. McGehee’s error and Panik’s rbi-1b in the 5th account for the MCM runs. Altuve’s sac fly is SBL only tally.

MCM 2, SBL 1

SBL offense continues to stutter as Straily gives MCM their 3rd strong start in a row. Straily gives up 9 hits in 8 IP but the SBL hit into 3 DPs to kill several possible rallies. MCM gets back-to-back solo HRs from Perez and Young for their 2 runs. Ramos gets save #28

MCM 4, SBL 0

The story of the series. No SBL offense as Leake is even more dominate than in the first game. Leake tosses a 3 hit shutout to close out the series. The big hit that put the game away was a T.Sanchez PH 3-run HR in the 7th.

Southbend Lynx are dominated by Motor City who take the series 5-1.

Tempers hosts the Explorers for six games. Highlight of the series was not one but two Walk Of Grand Slams. The home crowd also saw five Tempers reach the usage limits and lock in contracts for next season.

Cargo won a 1-1 game in the bottom of the 9th with two outs and bases loaded when he crushed a grand slam.Tempe 5-1

Santiago went eight scoreless innings and Cespedes launched a couple two run homers.Tempe 7-0

Chen went eight scoreless innings and picked up his 20th win. Cano and Molina each homered.Tempe 6-0

Tepesch pitched a complete game giving the Explorers their first win of the series.Columbus 3-1

Tempe jumped out to 3-0 lead on a Molina homerun and then expanded it to a 5-1. Lough (solo hr) and Columbus rallied back to make it a tight game, but Tempe’s pen preserved the victory.

A fun and enjoyable series for the home crowd. Fielder, Morales, Granderson, Bogaerts, and Cain all reached their usage requirements and the Tempers announced they will all be back with the team next season.

Two lottery pick- level teams match up for a rare chance at W’s.

Despite three errors, Fremont is able to take the opener 9-6. Rookie Kennys Vargas goes 3-5 with his 11th home run.

The Cannons chase Guthrie early, winning 8-2. Taylor Jordan goes to 2-7 on the year with a complete game victory, lowering his ERA to 7.13. Fremont totaled 5 SB’s on the night.

Fremont continues their winning ways as Nolasco bests Jerome Williams 4-2. Carlos Gomez stole three bases for the Cannons, while Khris Davis launched his 18th HR.

Dallas finally gets one in the series, as Fremont cannot solve Chase Anderson in a 2-0 CGSO for Dallas. Anderson totaled 10 K’s in the win to go to 4-11, while Mark Buehrle fell to 14-14.

Rookie Javier Baez hit his 13th HR of the year as Fremont ensures the series win with a 4-1 win.

Dallas doubled 5 times to take the finale 5-4, despite 5 steals by Fremont. With the tying run on second, Latroy Hawkins is able to get the final two outs for the Cougars.

Fremont wins the series 4-2 to pull within a game of Dallas for 4th in the East. The Cannons go 15-15 on steal attempts in the series, eight of them by Carlos Gomez.
