Traverse City  Crusaders @ Detroit  Crime
Series Summary
Teams split the 6 game series

New York  Outlaws @ Long Beach  Dirt Bags
Series Summary
Long Beach takes 5 of 6 from New York

Bethesda  Bandicoots @ Columbus  Explorers
Series Preview
Bethesda (47-49) travels to Columbus (38-58) for a 6 game series – records aren’t too far apart, but the talent pool is. Look for lots of Bandicoots runs and a boost in their standings as they fight to get into the thick of the NL East pennant race.
Game #1:
Coots erupt for 5 in the 5th to turn a 2-1 deficit into a 6-2 lead enroute to a 10-2 drubbing of the Explorers. AGon bombs 2 out of the park (4 rbis) and Ruiz goes 4 for 4. Keep and eye on him this week.
Arrieta the win (4-4), Milone the loss (4-8).
Game #2:
Coots grab victory from defeat when they plate 4 in the 9th including a 3 run bomb by Rendon (11). Rollins goes 3 for 4 with homer (18) giving him 5 hits in the series so far. AGon 2 for 5 (again) with double and rbi.Wood the win (9-5) goes 8, Varvaro the BS (3) and the loss (3-5).
Game #3: This game had 2 blown saves (1 from each team), another AGon HR (22) and 3 rbis in the 7th (to tie the game at 7-7. Rollins 2 for 3, a walk and 3 SBs – and yet the Explorers win with a 1 run 8th. Big play is in the 9th however when Marwyn Gonzalez is nailed at the plate on strong throw from Revere as he tried to score the tying run from 2nd on a single by Snider. Granted it was a grounder through the hole and Revere must have been playing in – but if we’re going win, let’s make it thrilling! Jay goes 4 for 4 as Coots get 16 hits.Cobb, in relief, gets the BS (1) and the loss (6-8). Dunn gets BS 4 for Col and Hembree gets the win (1-0) and Belisario the save (1).
Game #4:
Back to our regular programming – the Coots take this one 6-1 with 15 hits – 2 more from Rollins (another SB) and Rendon gets 2 hits and HR (12) and Cain goes 3 for 5 with 3 rbis.
Odorizzi gets the CG and the win (4-7), Baker (4-6) the loss.
Game #5:
Another thrilling game (hiccup) until the Coots score 6 in the 7th. Let’s see – Ruiz goes 3 for 4, HR (2) and 3 rbis. MGon, 3 hits, Peralta 2 for 5, HR (5) and 3 rbis. Gillaspie 3 hits.
Cobb  (starting) goes 7 innings for the win (7-8). Tepesch (6-7) the loss.
Game #6: OK this is a game – lost by a pitcher not getting his foot on the bag covering 1st. Coots go up 5-0 after a 4 run 6th. Along the way MGon homers (4), Rendon homers (13). But the home town Explorers get 1 in the 7th, 3 in the 8th and tie it in the 9th. Desmond contributes with a solo hr (17).10th inning, with 2 outs, Jay grounds one that Dunn fields, tosses to Varvaro, he misses the bag – great throw, he just missed the bag. Load the bases instead of ending the inning. Cain comes up and cracks a double, clears the bases and makes it 8-5, the final score!Broxton gets the win (3-2) and BS #3. Holdzkom holds them for the save (1). Varvaro for his efforts gets the loss (3-6) but the 3 runs  are unearned (even though he was the guilty party). Rollins has another 2 hit game (both doubles) 2 more SBs and 2 rbis.
Series Summary
The Coots grab the easy 5-1 series win. Look for Rollins to potentially be player of the week!

Series Preview
Two teams with similar records square -off in sunny Long VALLEY, NJ for a crucial 6 game series.
Series Summary
Valdosta pitched well holding the Nor’eastrers to only 13 runs in the 6 game series. They take the series 5-1 knocking Jersey out of 1st place in the NL East.

Tempe  Tempers @ Triple Creek  Patriots
Series Preview
NL Central leading Tempers come into 4th place Patriot territory. Tempe travels well at 31-14 and Triple Creek has struggled at home to the tune of 13-25. Looking like a tough row ahead for the home squad but both teams are 5-5 over there last 10 contests.
Game #1:
Wada (4-2) vs. De La Rosa (2-6)Wada improves to 5-2 with 5+ strong while striking out 6 and walking none. De La Rosa struggles allowing 11 hits and 6 runs. De La Rosa heads to the showers with a puffy 5.74 ERA for the year. Diaz is hit hard as he takes over for Wada but Holland takes over quickly and he and Otero are perfect for Tempe as the visitors win handily 10-5.
Leading Tempe scoring are Granderson 4-4 w/ 2 HRs and 6 rbi, Cano 4-6 w/ 1 rbi and Beltre 4-5 w/ 1 rbi.
Game #2:
Despaigne (6-4) vs. Vargas (7-3)Vargas, who has been pitching well at home all year, was pounded today as he served up 5 doubles. The skipper stuck with him through 4 innings to see if he could right the ship but after the 14 hit Jason had to go. Despaigne tosses 4 hit 2 run ball over 5 innings and the Tempe relief corps allows just 1 hit over the final 4 frames. Tempe pumps out 19 hits and coasts to a 13-2 victory.
TT: Cespedes 3-5 w 3 runs and 2 rbi, Granderson 2-5 w/ 1 rbi, Cano 2-5 w/ a solo shot and Beltre 2-5 w/ 2 doubles and a rbi
Game #3: Iwakuma (8-6) vs. Buchholz (7-4)Pitching match-up not in the Patriots’ favor today and after two straight poundings the ticket counter was quiet. Buchholz puts down the 1st three batters he faces and the Patriot faithful start making a little noise. Triple Creek bats quickly feed off the hometown murmur and explode for 4 hits (2 of the long ball variety) and 4 runs off Iwakuma. Belliard is seen having an animated conversation with Iwakuma after the inning is over and whatever was said sends the visiting starter to the showers after just 7 batters. Tempe plate 2 in the 2nd and Diaz tosses a scoreless 2nd to leave the score 4-2, home team. Buchholz cruises in  the 3rd but Diaz is hammered hard for 5 runs and Triple Creek opens up a 9-2 lead. Tempe score 3 in the 8th but fall 11-6.TT: Tulo 2-5TCP: Weeks 2-3 with 5 rbi, Brantley 3-5 w/ 1 rbi and Pence 3-4 w/ 2 rbi and a HR
Game #4:
Santiago (2-3) vs. Masterson (1-10)Masterson, on a short leash with his 8+ ERA, pitches just 1 inning today as the Patriot skipper feels blessed he doesn’t allow any runs in the 1st. In the bottom of the 3rd Triple Creek busts a scoreless game open with 3 runs as Headley delivers a big hit. Tempe scores 2 in the top of the 5th but cannot solve Leone late falling 3-2. Triple Creek is fired up as they ties up the series two-all.
Game #5: Chen (14-2) vs. Gonzalez (6-6)Chen and Gonzalez both on their games today as each toss shutouts through 7. Tulo goes yard in the 8th to give Tempe a 1-0 lead. Villar pinch hits for Gonzalez in the bottom off the 9th and coaxes a walk. With one out Reyes rips a shot down the 3rd base line scoring the speedy Villar. All tied at the end of regulation. Casey Janssen on for Triple Creek in extra innings. Janssen, who likes to Mime in the off-season, does his best Pinata impersonation. After four hits (two of them being homers) Tempe takes it 4-1. Patriots need to win game 6 for what would be a much welcomed series split.
Game #6:
Wada (5-2) vs. De La Rosa (2-7)Not wanting to see the entire sequel to De La Rosa’s game 1 spectacle, he is yanked after 2 innings (and 2 runs). Down 2-0 after 4 1/2, Pence takes Wada deep, which would be his last batter of the day. The Tempe pen marches in 3 arms which allow just 3 base runners over the final 3 2/3. Each team allows just 4 hits and the Patriots lose a tough one 2-1.
TT: Tulo 2 rbi on a homer
Series Summary
Tempe takes the series 4-2 but the Patriots play them tough the last 4 games. Holland bumps up his save total to 19.

Motor City  Muscle @ Virginia  Sluggers

But in the bottom half of the inning ARam went down, Flaherty reached on an error by Galvis, Hicks went down, 2 away, Schierholtz walked, and then Markakis singled Flaherty home as Schierholtz went to 3rd. Tie game with runners at 1st and 3rd, 2 out. Then it happened, Segura steps up and lifts a fly to left, Trout settles under it and,…it pops out of his glove, Schierholtz scores, VIR wins.
Game #4:
VIR 1-0
More good pitching from VIR. Scherzer throws CG shut-out and K’s 11.
Game #5:
VIR 4-1
J.de la Rosa scatters 6 over 8.1 and A.Ramirez gets 3 RBI on a 3-3 performance.
Game #6:
VIR 4-3
A tight game as Castellanos is 3-5 with 2 RBI to help put the Muscle up 3-0 after 5. However, J.Segura knocks in all 4 runs for the Sluggers including the walk-off RBI double in the bottom of the 9th.
Series Summary
With the exception of the 15-4 Motor City blow-out, the other games were fairly close. VIR is happy to come out on top with a 5-1 series win as they continue their climb to mediocrity.
